I realized I don't even need a gun for self defense these days. All I have to do is rush someone coughing, and they'll run.

I have nothing of value to add to this dumpster fire of a thread, but I would like to react accordingly to this bit:

Someone posted a really good link to a dashboard, better than the John Hopkins one imho.
Does anyone know where it is?

I'm not sure if this has been linked in any of the prior 36 pages (I perused a few at random but not exhaustively) - (
https://coronastats.co/) has a good map overlook with the stats updated frequently.

This is a new, additional study on 80 patients, from Didier Raoult M.D/Ph.D...
(
https://www.mediterranee-infection.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/COVID-IHU-2-1.pdf) Clinical and microbiological effect of a combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin in 80 COVID-19 patients with at least a six-day follow up: an observational study
Quote:
In conclusion, we confirm the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine associated with azithromycin in the treatment of COVID-19 and its potential effectiveness in the early impairment of
contagiousness. Given the urgent therapeutic need to manage this disease with effective and safe drugs and given the negligible cost of both hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, we
believe that other teams should urgently evaluate this therapeutic strategy both to avoid the spread of the disease and to treat patients before severe irreversible respiratory complications take hold.

I would like to see a control group, but the results are encouraging, nonetheless.

USA now has double the cases as China, and about as many deaths.
I've been isolated with family for over 2 weeks now. It's been fun actually. :)
Will probably sign up for Disney+ today. First World distractions and all that. All food being delivered, no need to leave. 60 - 70 mbps internet. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly lucky and I guess the rest of us on this forum are pretty similar in that respect.
I'm glad to see that Africa is not having a big issue with this.

I'd like to be isolated with family right now, but I work for an "essential" business. Even though there's nothing essential about what I'm working on, I still need to commute into work 3-4 days a week. I'm expecting that to change soon, as there were three positive tests last week from employees at my facility. My wife also works for a questionable "essential" business, but she's able to work from home 100%.
