I was quite enjoying this thread until that last picture.
Looking forward to seeing this mod come out anyhow. Will have to integrate it with the Alya mod :p
edit: Thank god...New page ftw.

elaborate..

Well, it's just a personal preference.
I quite like the look of Alya mod/what it has done (haven't tried it yet but will do soon)...and it also incorporates the changes from a lot of different (and good) mods.
I like the look of what you're doing here so it would be cool to try and get most of what you do here working with what most of the Alya mod does.
I'm not trying to nag anyone into doing this for me or putting extra work in - it's more just a statement of "it would be nice if...".
Hope that clears it up.

As far as I can tell, AlyaMod is mostly just recycled features from SecMod and other mods?
Aekeron on 13/6/2008 at 13:12
From what I can see, yes. Though I do appreciate the work that the author has done in combining all those features.
There's also a few balance changes/etc made by the looks of it.

TF is a genious, SecMod is simply a brilliant extension of the game, but if I didn't add a sword wielding assassin it doesn't mean I only
recycled other people's work. This wasn't nice. There are very few gameplay mods which can measure with mine in terms of work done.

Welcome to the attitude of most of the established members of this forum.

Right well I just think it's odd to ask for the features of an unreleased mod you haven't played to be present in a released mod you.. haven't played. Whatever just don't post any more images unless they're ss2 modding related.
And if you want people getting butthurt it should probably be me seeing my mod considered just a set of features ripe for the picking and otherwise of zero individual value.
Aekeron on 13/6/2008 at 17:35
It's hardly unusual to want to combine the best elements of several good mods.
I apologise if I hurt your feelings TF - I didn't intend to suggest that your work was merely something to be assimilated into some greater whole.

Who said I was nice?
What I meant was more that most important aspect of AlyaMod seems to be rebalancing the game. Most of the other new features in AlyaMod seem to have been taken from SecMod and other mods. Of course, combining mods is work, but the main feature that you talk about in your mod is rebalancing everything.
SecMod 2 will have a lot of new features which will already alter the balance of the game, making certain skills and weapons more or less useful. Making the same balance changes to SecMod2 when it is released, to "combine it with AlyaMod", would simply not make sense. For example, changing the modification difficulties makes little sense with SecMod's new modification system.
