To be fair, at this point, any lawyer who's not Rudy Giuliani and still willing to work for exposure is a get.
He shoulda listened to The Specials:

Quote:
Stop your messing around;
Better think of your future,
Time to straighten right out,
Creating problems in town.
Rudy,
A message to you, Rudy.
A message to you.
Stop your fooling around,
Time to straighten right out.
Better think of your future
Else you'll wind up in jail.
Rudy,
A message to you, Rudy.
A message to you, Rudy.

We keep saying, 'it couldn't get worse,' and then it gets worse.
I'm still wondering if anybody is ever going to connect the dots between a modeling agency, immigration fraud, beauty pageants, a casino, Russian mafia, and Epstein. What could they possibly all have in common, aside from Trump?

Breakdown of the actual theology behind evangelists who think Trump is the new Messiah / Christ :

the tl;dr is that there is a "Son of God" and a "Son of Man" in the prophecies, and it's normally assumed that Jesus was both of these. "Son of Man" is basically the end days, second coming. However this new lot hold that while Jesus was "Son of God", Trump is the "Son of Man" and he must be returned to power in "New Israel" ('Murrica) so that they can have Armageddon. Also there's some cool stuff about how Trump only has to walk back into the White House and God Himself will just magick all opposition out of the way. Apparently God's angry at Biden for preventing the Apocalypse.
Also, QAnon are freaking out because of a Simpson episode:
(
https://www.vice.com/en/article/qjkzx7/qanon-simpsons-episode)
Quote:
The conspiracy first emerged in German QAnon channels on Telegram earlier this month, when followers began spreading a video that showed German lawmaker Friedrich Merz speaking to the Bundestag about the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February.
In his speech, Merz misspeaks and says that everyone will remember where they were on September 24, rather than February 24, the day Russia invaded. Merz corrected himself in the official record of the Bundestag, but QAnon followers in Germany believed they'd spotted Merz revealing a detail of a secret plan.
Without any extra information, however, QAnon followers were at a loss about what exactly was going to happen on the date in question. Soon, some intrepid researchers came up with a theory based on a single episode of The Simpsons.
One member of a German Telegram channel pointed out that in episode 9 of Season 24 (9/24, Sept. 24, get it?) of the animated sitcom, the plot revolves around a group of preppers. In particular, the characters discuss WROL, or Without Rule of Law, which is doomsday-prepper lingo for the complete breakdown of society after a major catastrophe.
The episode also features an electromagnetic pulse device, which QAnon followers believe will usher in “10 days of darkness” and ultimately the return of former President Donald Trump to the Oval Office.
...
Despite the far-fetched nature of the conspiracy—or maybe because of it—the claims about Sept. 24 spread outside of German QAnon, eventually making their way to the U.S.
...
To back up their wild speculation, followers flagged other coincidences about the day—such as the fact that Sept. 24 on the Gregorian calendar converts to Sept. 11 on the Julian calendar. Others pointed out that it is the beginning of Rosh Hoshanah, the Jewish new year, though, like many of the claims, this is inaccurate as the holiday begins this year on the evening of Sept. 25.
Everything from nuclear armageddon to a financial reset to widespread water poisoning and an armed revolution has been predicted by those spinning these conspiracies to their followers.
Last weekend, one of the speakers at the conspiracy-filled Reawaken America conference series, where Trump's two adult sons have spoken in the past, told the audience that “the day of vengeance” was a week away, before adding: “We're going to watch it happen.”
The belief that “something” is coming has become increasingly prevalent in QAnon circles in recent weeks and months, as believers lament Trump remaining out of office and President Joe Biden occupying the White House.
“Not sure if something will happen on the 24th, but "something" is coming...I can feel it,” one member of the QAnon-focused Great Awakening forum wrote this week, sharing a feeling held by many within the movement.

Have to say, this Biden presidency thing is working out
much better than I expected.

Is that just a case of lowered expectations though?

Considering the achievement in question... I don't think so?

It seems that Apocalypses are always imminent, never present. I mean, Biden might have foiled the flawless, eternal plans of the Almighty but how can we know?
Meanwhile, the Almighty Dearie laid a legal smackdown on Team Trump and, by extension, Scoobie Coup itself.
"The special master, Raymond J. Dearie, said Tuesday that if Trump's lawyers don't officially counter whether the documents the former president took are classified, then Dearie will side with the DOJ. - (
https://www.thedailybeast.com/special-master-raymond-dearie-has-simple-test-that-may-be-disaster-for-donald-trump) “As far as I'm concerned, that's the end of it,” he said."
Stand by for Girth Vader's declaration that his choice for Special Master turned out to be a Liberal hack in the pay of the Deep State.

BTW Trump lawyers getting owned by the 'Special Master' they themselves selected.

So the short version is that the Special Master judge asked the lawyers "ok so what's your case here?" and the lawyers were like "gasp! it's not our job to explain anything. You just go away for a few months and read the documents and say what you think about them, then we'll take them back to the other (MAGA) judge who appointed you, and we'll then make our case with her based (maybe) on what you have to say". Then the Special Master is like "are you fucking with me?"

No surprise there. It was very obviously a stalling tactic to pause the investigation until after the November election. The DoJ seems to be doing this by the book, trying not to make it look like a politically motivated witch hunt, and it's working. We're still a long way away from knowing Trump's motives for stealing classified documents, but the gun is smoking. Unless you're a full-on Trump cultist, it's almost impossible to see this as an innocent oversight. I'll bet team Trump is already setting up somebody to be the fall guy, or girl. And I'll bet they do an embarrassingly bad job of it.
Re: QAnon. I hope I'm not opening Pandora's box by saying this, but I wonder how many QAnon believers are evangelical? I think if you get to the point as an adult, where you accept being "born again" and affirmatively reject observation, science, logic, and reason that you were taught in school, and embrace Biblical literalism and the belief that God is actively controlling the world, then you're a ripe target for exploitation by somebody who wants to weaponize your beliefs. If Orthodox Jews in NY and Israel can be pulled into the QAnon fold despite the Christian nationalism and blatant antisemitism in the movement, then anything is possible.
The thing that worries me a lot is the exodus from traditional schools, both public and private. There's a large movement of parents in my state checking out of traditional schools because they want absolute control over what their children believe and what they're exposed to. Common values are what holds a society together, and those come through common experiences in upbringing and education. These aren't Quakers and Mennonites looking to coexist in friendship. Many of these kids are going to grow up to be dysfunctional and some will be dangerous.
