This quote--
Quote:
"The Green New Deal would crush our farms, destroy our wonderful cows. They want to kill our cows. You know why, right? You know why? Don't say it. They want to kill our cows. That means you're next."
—Donald J Trump, during a rally last (Jan 30) night at Drake University, Des Moines, IA

So does this mean Trump fanatics are gonna become vegans now?

Meanwhile farm bankruptcies are at an 8-year high, largely attributable to Trump's tradewar with China.

The senate has voted against additional witnesses. Trump's acquittal is now all but guaranteed.
Starker on 1/2/2020 at 00:28
Wait, what do you mean by additional witnesses? Did I miss something during the hearings?
Renzatic on 1/2/2020 at 00:36
Additional witnesses, as in any witnesses scheduled to be called after the House hearings.

(
https://news.yahoo.com/rubio-explains-political-judgment-impeachment-195243164.html) Rubio, who said in November that a decision on impeachment “should be made on what is in the best interest of our country,” echoed his previous comments in arguing a distinction between presidential misconduct and removable offenses.
“The two are not the same. Just because actions meet a standard of impeachment does not mean it is in the best interest of the country to remove a President from office,” Rubio stated. "
The Republicans aren't even trying to excuse Trump's actions here. "What he did was bad, but comeon, guys. Removing a president for openly breaking the law, and grossly violating his oath of office is, like, really extreme, you know?"

Re: additional witnesses. Like Bolton whose book already says he was directly ordered by Trump to commit the alleged crime they're improbably denying. And Bolton outright refused to do it.

Yes, this is the quote someone needs to give to them followed up with the old finger jab and "And you're next!"

The Trump fanatics are saying that Bolton was another anti-Trumper, and should be thrown in prison for treason against the president.
Guy was a scum sucking piece of warmongering shit, but he was THEIR scum sucking piece of warmongering shit. They loved him. Fox News regularly had him as a guest speaker for their talking head segments. One scandal, and a Two Minute Hate later, and now we're finding out they've never really trusted Bolton, and always thought he was kinda suspiciously progressive.
This is really starting to feel like we're living through one of those moments you read about in the history books, the ones where all the kids raise their hands, and ask teacher why all these people did this very obviously stupid thing, knowing full well that it would lead to a bunch of horrible shit that wouldn't actually benefit them.
"Well, people were different back then, Little Jimmy..."

This quote by a GOP Senator, Cramer (R-ND), on the vote to deny new witnesses--
Quote:
I'm not saying there wasn't a quid pro quo, but I don't think they made a compelling case that they could prove it was a quid pro quo. Um, you know, we can argue whether or not John Bolton would have secured that conviction or not, but you still have the same outcome which is part of the formula we all have to consider whether we want to extend this or not.
Lol, how would you translate that? The outcome is the same whether they prove the alleged crime convincingly or not (as if anyone could be in serious doubt by now), so why extend the madness and give us any more reasons to feel any shame for this fiasco? Just rip the bandaid off and let us despoil the republic in peace.
