It was the perfect disguise. I would see a post on FB on the MAGA page about how they should hang all their enemies from lamp posts and point out how much like late 1930's rhetoric it sounded. It didn't fool ole Zuck though. He saw right through that and bent the knee to his lord and savior.
I can post again now. It did take the heart out of it for me though. People on the right can post about killing their political enemies or tell people they are gay for simply posting actual violence numbers and I get a temp ban for it. It's true that I did get a few "wow you are nice for a radical scum leftie" but mostly it was those completely missing my points when I said that journalists should not be deported for reporting the news and then them saying my mom was a prostitute. Then ole Zuck bans ME.
I'm not sure they weren't some AI parody of the right though. So many had obviously fake accounts with animals or a boring flat landscape or anime character. I'll hold on to hope that it was. RippedPhreak doesn't give me much hope that is true but maybe they weren't just cowards hiding behind fake accounts and they are now automated responses generated by cowards who enjoy name calling and hatred while blaming division on Obama.

Tocky, I'm pretty sure that if in 2020 I had posted something negative about the BLM riots or skeptical of the government's Covid rules, you would have thought my FB ban was well-deserved. You probably would have said something like "FB should clean up misinformation like that on its platform," or "a private company doesn't have to allow free speech."
Thus when it's turned around on you, I can't help but chuckle a bit. You guys were warned, and warned, and warned that once you start censoring speech, eventually it comes for you. What is "misinformation" is determined by who is doing the censoring. Liberals were happy that FB and Twitter were silencing conservatives because they assumed the people doing the silencing would always be on their side. Looks like...not always.

Oh I don't mind free speech. But racism and lying so that people fall for it and die is another matter. You want free speech to include yelling fire in a movie theatre and I want truth. I'm perfectly okay with being censored for speaking lies that hurt people and incite hate.
No what is misinformation is always misinformation. It's not about who is doing the censoring. It's about whether it is verified by scientists or just BS from those who choose to ignore those who study science all their lives that gets people killed. I had a high school friend die of Covid because she fell for BS.
Tell you what, we can compromise, you can post racism if you use your actual face. You can post lies about science as long as peer review science is posted below it. Satisfied?
Edit: I have always used my actual face. I have nothing to be ashamed of and nobody can say anything about how ugly I am or how my wife is transgender like Michelle Obama or any other slur to make me take it down. I'm not trying to hide. I invite lies and hatred. It only shows what they have to resort to. They go to my page and put laughing emojis on my family pictures and I block them. Then I tell my friends what they have done. How you can't just disagree with some people because they will do evil shit. It seems to work. And if we keep actually getting more and more Nazi and I have to pay for telling the truth with my life then so be it. I will have died on the side of truth. At the very least do not allow people to hide behind an avatar to speak lies and hate. Have the courage of your convictions.
BTW I have had people threaten to come to my house. I tell them to come. Step over my threshold.

You are always able to post your real face because all of your opinions are corporate-approved. HR-approved. Government-approved. All of your thoughts, speech and actions are firmly in line with what is allowed. Some of us don't have that uh...luxury I guess?
