So, apparently, the reason Lord Dampnut doesn't want to release "the Epstein files" and wants everybody to stop talking about Epstein is that these "files" were written by Obama and Clinton.
The only problem -- if Obama wrote the files and they are this hugely damaging to Republicans, why were they never released when Democrats were in power?

If any "Epstein files" ever existed, they were in the hands of Democrats for four years so anything implicating any Democrat woould have been removed. And if anything in there implicated Trump/Republicans, the FBI/DOJ/DNC would have been shouting it from the rooftops before the 2024 election.
Was it stupid for Bondi, Patel and others to talk up the files and promise to release everything? Sure. But the basic (and boring) truth is that there's simply nothing there.

Yes, that's the official story: nothing to see here, no leads to follow up on, no witnesses to question, nobody except Epstein did anything wrong, etc.
And not only that, there is no reason to show where Obama and Clinton lied when they wrote up these files, no reason to show any kind of discrepancies in the files, no reason at all to show that the files written in 2019-2020, after Epstein was arrested, have been modified or disappeared.

I'm sure Epstein did things that were wrong. Never said he didn't. If Obama and Clinton wrote up these files, why didn't they act at the time? And how does one "show evidence" that files were disappeared or altered? Can't prove a negative. If it's gone, it's gone.

Again, Biden's government could have acted at that time. I guess they didn't see it as important. And neither do I at this point.

The official claim is not that Epstein didn't do anything wrong. The official claim is that he was pretty much the only person who did anything wrong.
It could be as you say, that the perpetrators are not important enough, therefore the administration simply doesn't care about it to pursue further investigation or prosecution. Maybe this is also why the message from right wing media right now, including Lord Dampnut himself, is to shut up and stop talking about it.
That doesn't make all the discrepancies go away, though. Or explain the need for such secrecy. Nobody is asking the names of Epstein's victims to be released, after all. Only his clients.
Also, this doesn't explain why Obama didn't have the files that he himself wrote released. He could have made it look as bad as possible for the Republicans. You really believe that Clinton, the criminal mastermind who has secretly killed thousands of her political opponents, wrote the Epstein files as a complete nothingburger?

Pay no attention to the sexual predator in the White House.

Just because Lord Dampnut was Epstein's best friend for years, is seen in hundreds of photographs together with him, many of the victims were recruited from Lord Dampnut's Southern White House, and victims have given testimony of him being one of the assailants doesn't mean he has anything to do with Epstein.

The evidence was first being compiled maybe? The feds wanted time to sift through all of it maybe? Clinton not using it can be explained by Bill being on the list. So can Trump not exposing it. I think we both know Obama wasn't on it. But I also think we both know that Bill and Donald are. A Jedi mind trick of "nothing to see here" just isn't going to work. I mean, it's not like we don't know rich people control Trump and Republicans. Look at the bill they passed to cut funding for school lunches and Medicaid just to give the rich a tax cut that put us trillions more in debt.

I'm not sure why they didn't and it's worth looking into. You see, my morals are not corrupted by who is in power. I fully understand why you bend yours for Trump. Yours are the same as evangelicals, easily mailable for anyone getting rid of brown people.

From the victims' perspective, nothing's happened to Trump because (1) Katie Johnson's life was threatened if she continued her lawsuit, so she dropped it, and (2) she and Maria later got compensated by the Victims Compensation Fund anyway. Why continue after Trump and put their lives at risk if they already got compensated for the rape & sexual abuse?
I think if people understood what happened and came out of the VCF--for example the role that Epstein's ex-staff Tiffany G. that signed an affidavit that she personally witnessed Trump rape a child played in it in helping to prove the claimants were real victims--that'd turn them against Trump as much as anything could. But the results are confidential and you probably won't hear people coming forward about it for that and the reasons above (they're only putting themselves under increased threat when the victims already got compensated).
I think at some point Tiffany might come forward again, and her story might connect with the public then, e.g., after other documentation comes out connecting Trump to Epstein and establishing her bona fides better. I mean there's heaps of documentation that leave no doubt she was really Epstein's staff and she's done a lot to help other victims, and Katie was just one of them; it's hard to attack her credibility for Katie's case without denying all of these other cases that are clearly credible because they got compensated. Well, and Katie and Maria almost certainly got compensated as well; how much more of a credibility check do you need?
Anyway, Tiffany coming forward in the right way, with her credibility established, that's the way I could see whole thing come crashing down on Trump. All the info one needs to make the case is already out there and publicly available if you know how to do research. But there's a strange alchemy about when things connect with the public and when they don't, so who knows.
