We now have no agreement to check and they may, and likely will, rebuild their enrichment program deeper and more bunker buster resistant. Your "Trump must be bad" is simply not of relevance. Nah, people like Obama and Biden just never gave enough of a shit to check, and if any UN inspectors were allowed in, they'd be shown nice compliant sites while the real work was being done off in the desert somewhere.

You have no idea how the whole thing actually worked, do you? It included people driving around Iran and monitoring with special equipment to detect any nuclear samples / radiation and on-demand inspections for possible covert sites based on satellite data and other intelligence. Also, the deal included very close monitoring of the entire nuclear supply chain to make sure everything was used for its intended purpose. It was comprehensive multi-layered surveillance including on-site 24-hour monitoring.
Also, if the "real work" is being done "off in the desert somewhere", without the US and Israel knowing about it, then being able to monitor and investigate Iran from inside the country would be hell of a lot more useful than just bombing a bunch of places where the "real work" isn't being done.

Why did we need an agreement in the first place? The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty prohibits Iran from seeking nuclear weapons anyway.
