Lord Dampnut's first term is now apparently "too woke" and his programs are being cancelled for being "DEI":

Pete Hegseth, the defense secretary, has abruptly banished the Pentagon's Women, Peace and Security program as part of his crusade against diversity and equity - dismissing it as “woke divisive/social justice/Biden initiative” despite it being a signature Donald Trump achievement from his first term.
In a post on X, Hegseth wrote: “This morning, I proudly ENDED the ‘Women, Peace & Security' (WPS) program inside the [Department of Defense]. WPS is yet another woke divisive/social justice/Biden initiative that overburdens our commanders and troops — distracting from our core task: WAR-FIGHTING.”
The defense secretary added the program was “pushed by feminists and left-wing activists”, claiming “Politicians fawn over it; troops HATE it.”
But the decision is raising some eyebrows as the initiative was established during Trump's first administration when he signed the Women, Peace and Security Act in 2017, making the United States the first country in the world to codify standalone legislation on the matter.
The Trump campaign even courted women voters by citing the initiative as one of its top accomplishments for women on its website.

Steve Bannon actually said things I agree with today. First he said that the rich need to lose the tax credit given them earlier by Trump to fix the deficit. He said there was simply not enough to be cut from the budget otherwise. Then, when he was told Trump had said he would not do that because it would hurt him politically, he said it worried him to hear that. It meant Trump was planning to break constitutional law by attempting to run for a third term.
Funny how wrecking the economy isn't something he considers politically bad for him. I guess he figures he can tell his faithful morons to just take it and they will.

You missed nothing but one low effort troll post.
Is your source for Bannon the (
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14667807/Donald-Trump-US-president-term-former-White-House-Chief-Strategist-Steve-Bannon-podcast.html) Daily Mail podcast from a couple days ago? To me, he doesn't sound disappointed that Trump will try to run again. He sounds like he's looking forward to it. I can't imagine anyone is surprised that Trump wants to be supreme leader for life. He won't get a Constitutional Amendment to allow it, but I expect Republican controlled states to put him on the ballot anyway. SCOTUS will rule against it and we'll see where it goes from there. If Republicans are still in control of Congress, they will probably decide to ignore the Court and accept Trump electors anyway.

Not just king Donny but the Trump Spawn Dynasty. One tyrant is never enough. Just ask NK.

NPR who Trump has promised to end funding for. Not that the government funds it much these days. I think it's down to less than 10%.

The Australian election was yesterday, it's notable that Dutton (conservative party leader) lost his own seat, mirroring what happened in Canada to Poilievre.

It is a remarkable turnaround for Albanese, 62, whose popularity was at record lows at the start of the year as Australians grappled with a cost of living crisis and challenges in healthcare and housing.
He should thank Trump in his speech.

What we do see here is a big unexplained bump for Labor, some time after Jan 25th, and a decline in support for the Liberals (they are laissez-faire economic liberals, not left-liberals).
Also of note is that the trend line switch around around March 26th according to The Guardian, and our Labor PM called an election on March 27th. I'm guessing they knew they'd have momentum on their side for a while so it was the right time to call it.
EDITED And ... holy shit ... Labor now has 86 seats to the LNP's 39 seats. There are still seats to be counted, but if the rest of them aligned like that, it would end up around ~94:42 for the two main parties.

It's going to be hard to keep up. Here's an even crazier move:
(

Quote:
Trump announces 100% tariff for movies produced outside US
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday a 100% tariff on all movies produced outside the United States.
He said he was authorizing the U.S. Trade Representative to process the institution of the tariff because the United States' movie industry is dying "a very fast death" due to other countries offering incentives to attract filmmaker's and studios.
The problem is that you can't just treat movies as a commodity like steel or something, for obvious reasons. Like if you're an anime fan you can't substitute Your Name, A Silent Voice etc with anything American-made because these are uniquely a product of that culture.
And how are they gonna charge this? Is it going to be that every ticket to the cinema to see the next Studio Ghibli or Makoto Shinkai film will now costs $30 instead of $15, or are they going to go so far as to hit people with extra fees if they log into streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll which have that material?
Also who's to say what's a "movie" vs a "show"? If they say it's only movies, then the services will start just classifying the films as extremely long "episodes" to get around the tariffs. But if that's allowed, but they only hit cinemas, then the cinemas will be hurt because they have to charge excessive fees to see anything from the UK, Bollywood, Japan etc.
