I was referring to the mentally-deranged Leftists that are terrorizing and causing suffering to average Americans.
Ummm... you do know average Americans can't afford a Tesla, right? Less so now that the price of everything else is going up.

Honestly I don't want to see Teslas damaged or burned just because then the Muskovites get the insurance money, or you're just harassing random other people that bought one. I'd rather the company be boycotted into bankruptcy, where it's clear that it's tens of millions of people that despise Musk & DOGE that can sink him legally & non-violently and not just a few anarchists.

The tariff plan is apparently even more idiotic than I initially assumed -- there's good reason to believe they used something like ChatGPT to come up with the list of the countries to be hit and the formula for the tariffs is just bonkers:

When the rule of law is ignored the powerless make their own laws.
But yeah, there are actually a lot of good people at Tesla making some of the best electrics on the market. It's a shame that they all suffer because of one unhinged twit. A lot of people bought Teslas before Musk went full-on fascist. Just arrest him for any of the multiple election laws he broke and sue him for wrongful dismissal.
That said, the cybertruck is one ugly piece of kit and deserves the middle finger wherever it appears.

Yeah, long before they'd get to bankruptcy, the Board would be motivated to just remove Musk. He wouldn't like it, but if it were a fait accompli he'd take the golden parachute on the way out anyway.
On the poetic justice front though, it's worth noting that 10Ks, I think approaching & maybe even crossing 100K at this point, of federal employees have been terminated. There is so much expertise and institutional knowledge that's been burned to the ground, the kind of thing that takes institutions decades if ever to rebuild. I don't want any competent people of good faith arbitrarily terminated or harassed if we get down to it.
For those not following the news, there were at least 1200 protests & over 5 million people that turned out for them yesterday. Even small and midsized towns had 100s to 1000s of people coming out. Something's definitely coming together. Not sure what it will turn into. There's not a name for it yet.

Trump would probably call it an insurrection.

He's already tried to invoke emergency measures. Can martial law be far behind? And would the armed forces comply?

Here's our data point on that. :p

(
https://www.npr.org/2022/05/09/1097517470/trump-esper-book-defense-secretary) Former Pentagon chief Esper says Trump asked about shooting protesters
Esper said he and other top officials were caught off guard by Trump's reaction to the unrest in the summer of 2020.
"The president was enraged," Esper recalled. "He thought that the protests made the country look weak, made us look weak and 'us' meant him. And he wanted to do something about it.
"We reached that point in the conversation where he looked frankly at [Joint Chiefs of Staff] Gen. [Mark] Milley and said, 'Can't you just shoot them, just shoot them in the legs or something?' ... It was a suggestion and a formal question. And we were just all taken aback at that moment as this issue just hung very heavily in the air."
The difference this time is, in 2020 we had this.
Quote:
Esper said he stayed in the administration because he worried that if he left, the president would more easily implement some of his "dangerous ideas."
Now we only have yes-men, which is obvious because no one in their right mind would have supported a universal tariff with a 10% baseline the difference of the trade imbalance for any country over a 10% imbalance. The economic insanity of that is as unanimous an opinion among economists across the whole political spectrum as economist opinions get.
