So the J6ers were there
just to kill black people out of racial hatred? No they were there to protest what they believed was a rigged election. If protests are illegal now that's fine, but let's make sure to apply it to both sides. Start with the ones calling to "globalize the Intifada" perhaps.
Most of the J6ers were arrested for trespassing and should have gotten misdemeanor charges. Were a few arrested for hitting police? Yes but 18-22 year sentences were ludicrously over the top, and they should be released for the 4 years served already. Lastly an important component of sentencing is the likelihood of re-offending. Do you really think these middle-class midwestern dads are going to go home and start doing drive-by shootings, breaking and entering, bank robberies, carjackings? Jan 6th was a once in a lifetime event.

I can fix it myself, or I'm sure I can find an American who can do it. Unless there is some super specialized job that NO American can do (building a large hadron collider or something crazy) then we should have no immigrants whatsoever.
Good luck finding willing Americans to pick your produce/fruits, then. Or having money to buy it, once the price rises beyond the average American's means.
Regulating immigration and punishing employers who use undocumented workers is something worth doing, but what you're proposing is throwing the baby out with the bathwater, because you know damn well many of the deported were not "face-tatted" criminals or some other shit. You want innocent people (who want to work hard and make a living) to get hurt, instead of pressuring employers to pay both Americans and immigrants the exact same wages for the same occupation.

If these people are so hard-working, their home countries would already be awesome places to live, and they wouldn't be migrating. They have nothing to offer us. And it's not their land. They have no position to demand anything from us.

You've got it backward. If there is a tremendous oversupply of new workers every year, desperate to take any job for a low wage, of course wages will go down. So to make sure people can earn a living wage, you must restrict the supply of new workers. If an ocean shipping container full of diamonds arrived at New York's dock every day, what would happen to the price of diamonds?
And sure I would love to punish the employers too.
This is not how anything works. Farmers wouldn't start paying people twice as much, for example, just because they can't find people. They would simply go bankrupt and US agricultural industry would collapse, because people in the US are not ready to pay twice as much for their food. And even then, US citizens would still not go do hard backbreaking labour for minimum wage, because they can easily find something better paying that demands less effort if they have as much as a high school diploma.

Who harvests the turnips and takes out the rubbish in Estonia?

We'll see, won't we? I guess if I'm starving to death next year I'll post through my tears that Starker was right.
But this idea that Americans are simply too lazy to work is kind of a weird hill to die on. And another reason why the Dems lost the election.

No, it hasn't. And the quote I'm referring to is from Jan 6. He's doubled down on it multiple times over. Like the Nazi salute, your reality filter just blocks it.

My family actually has owned a couple of farms and I can tell you that we simply couldn't pay Estonians enough past a certain point. We hired seasonal workers usually, friends and neighbours came to help us out, and of course the family itself was put to work. But our farms were relatively small, so we could manage with some difficulty and with help of EU subsidies.
Garbage collectors get paid enough, because in the city wages are usually higher.

Hmmm I thought you were referring to the quote that at the Charlottesville rally there were some "very fine people on both sides."
As for Jan 6th I guess you're talking about Proud Boys as a white supremacist organization but the PB are pretty brown actually.
As for Musk's little tourette's arm twitch I could not care less. I've been hearing about the KKK and Hitler my entire life as reasons we aren't allowed to do anything to fix our problems and I'm just done with it.

If we do stop immigrating farm workers, what's more likely to happen is that the arable land here will get used to produce more crops amenable to automated planting and harvesting, while labor-intensive agricultural products like fruits will be imported or grown locally in greenhouses at greater expense, making them a smaller part of our diet. Rest assured the land will not go to waste.
