Is there a way to make americans understand this? Really, is there a way? It's simple logic, not (->MUSK) rocket science :D
I still think most americans (like my fellow italians) just doesn't want to understand how the world turns around.
Well, at least one of the mainstream US news organizations finally figured it out:

AP and Reuters are basically my go-to outlets. I did think it was pretty funny when AP issued a fact check that JD Vance did not have carnal relations with a piece of furniture, but such slips are few and far between and of course they later retracted the article.

Republicans celebrating the opening of a new tRump campaign office in Georgia, borrowed and immediately misinterpreted a line from Kamala Harris' campaign script - "When We Fight, We Win'!
(

Republicans keeping it classy.

I think it's funny that despite everybody knowing the story is fake, it sticks to Vance so completely. Perhaps it's easy because of the base-coat of petrified lies which already coat Vance.

I mean, based on purely visual observation, which person in the below video would you think is more likely to have done unspeakable things to a loveseat?

You can call it a loveseat but did it provide informed consent?

In demeanor, yes. But Sanders is a populist with ambition to make big changes while Walz is a symbol of the status quo. The main issues of the campaign (besides the orange elephant in the room) are the economy and immigration. Harris and Walz are not strong on those issues and likely can't ignore them till November.

You'd think an affable midwesterner would be pretty good for talking about kitchen table issues, though?
heywood on 8/8/2024 at 13:59
Being affable counts for nothing really. The folksy guy shtick is going to wear off by convention time if not earlier.
You can only ride the "I'm not Donald Trump" train so far.
