I was kidding but... Florida is culturally diverse. It's also America's retirement community and many people from all over the country have connections to people in Florida. It's also a huge tourist draw. I wouldn't want to lose Miami either, there's no other city like it in the country. Florida is also politically diverse, at least traditionally. And although I would call the current state government vindictive, I can't call it corrupt, at least not obviously so.

I didn't speculate that. What I meant was that there's no reason for the Democrats to want to push this, and that the Republicans have all the motive here. After all, it's about the primaries, which is a Republican thing.
Ah, I misread you then. My apologies.

Thanks, no problem. Really the bit on the end about the Democrats was more just an afterthought that the Democrats probably benefit from the Republican primaries being messy as fuck, so they'd have no interest in shutting candidates out.
I hear Nikki Haley is probably the most viable contender who could actually capture the important moderate voters in a general election, though I'm not following the details that closely.
RippedPhreak on 23/12/2023 at 21:19
Haley is merely Hillary Clinton with a suntan. Nobody wants her.
Nicker on 24/12/2023 at 03:42
Which is why she's climbing in the GOP polls. You go, Sparky!
GOP logic. Right up there with James Comer claiming that the "Biden DOJ" indicted Hunter to protect him.
Harnessing the power of stupid.

Too neocon for me, but I'll take her over Trump.
Nicker on 24/12/2023 at 21:23
Both neocon and neolib seem to be the same good ol' boys. Even the girls.
I hope that the MAGAGOP puts Rump on the ballot as a final act of political suicide.

"neocon" is just a buzzword for the classic liberal (not the "libtard" neocon voters have in their rotten mind as ultimate enemy)
Nicker on 25/12/2023 at 17:53
Let me see if I have this correct: neocons are liberals and neoliberals are conservatives.
Also, RED is conservative and BLUE is liberal.
RippedPhreak on 25/12/2023 at 18:52
Neocon seems to mean the person is very into foreign interventions and "regime change" so yes I'd say Haley is too neocon for the current mood of Red voters.
