This is what happens when media and politics exert control by persuading the gullible to ignore reality in favour of their narrative.
Eventually, that mindset breaks free of the reins and people start picking their own reality to inhabit.

Misinterpreting the meaning of free speech is attribute number 1 for modern fascism.

It's a constitutional law 101 point; freedom of speech/expression includes the right to be silent or not to be forced to express content you don't want to.
Edit: There's a real point buried in there. The constitutional obligation to permit speech applies to the gov't, not to companies or private people. But behemoths like Facebook are very gov't-like, but they're not accountable for their rules like gov'ts are.
There were some old cases in the US where malls or company towns couldn't shut down speech on their property because they were sufficiently public-like spaces, or the common carrier cases (like phone companies) like this article mentions. And you could try to argue Facebook groups are public-like or a common carrier in that kind of sense. But anyway it didn't work with this law.
I'm fine with FB rules that keep hate speech out (if that's what they really did; I'm not sure they do, though) ... but in the big scheme of things, it's setting a precedent that may cross a line at some point. I'm thinking, e.g., if someday we're all wearing AR glasses and the whole world has an online component, then having the company control content seems like it'd be more like the old mall and company town cases.

BTW you people scare me:

Quote:
One man allegedly went too far when he was told his Little Caesars' pizza was not hot and ready, pulling an
AK-47 on employees and demanding his food ASAP.
"He points the gun up at me," former Little Caesars employee Kimberleigh Murrell said. "'Where is my pizza. I want my pizza now.'"
Murrell told a local news station in Knoxville, Tennessee, that it was her first day on the job.

In actual politics news however, Ron DeSantis looking to create his own personal army:
(

Quote:
DeSantis proposes a new civilian military force in Florida that he would control
...
But in a nod to the growing tension between Republican states and the Biden administration over the National Guard, DeSantis also said this unit, called the Florida State Guard, would be "not encumbered by the federal government." He said this force would give him "the flexibility and the ability needed to respond to events in our state in the most effective way possible." DeSantis is proposing bringing it back with a volunteer force of 200 civilians, and he is seeking $3.5 million from the state legislature in startup costs to train and equip them.
The move by DeSantis comes on the heels of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's directive warning that National Guard members who refuse to get vaccinated against the coronavirus will have their pay withheld and barred from training.
...
Democrats in Florida immediately expressed alarm at DeSantis' announcement. US Rep. Charlie Crist, who is running as a Democrat to challenge the governor in 2022, tweeted, "No Governor should have his own handpicked secret police."
State Sen. Annette Taddeo, another gubernatorial candidate, wrote on Twitter that DeSantis was a "wannabe dictator trying to make his move for his own vigilante militia like we've seen in Cuba."
Yes, "Civilians" ... in other words the untrained and unfit for military service.

Road usage is way down, but road deaths are spiking. Because more people are telling them to shove it with the seatbelts, and are also less likely to follow road rules. This is unique to the Covid pandemic. While 90% of people do wear seatbelts, over 50% of road deaths are from people without a seatbelt.
They're literally owning the libs now by not wearing seatbelts, then driving dangerously. Take care on the roads, people.

I am fairly confident that you are misattributing there. The possible causes you listed are unlikely to change in such a short time period for me to believe without some really good evidence to back it up.
PS. If one seeks for something to watch on youtube - anything with an orange label gets my recommendation on that channel.
