This article claims to describe (
https://www.axios.com/trump-oval-office-meeting-sidney-powell-a8e1e466-2e42-42d0-9cf1-26eb267f8723.html) Inside the craziest meeting of the Trump presidency, referring to a particularly unhinged meeting in December between crackpot conspiracy theorists, arguing for a proposal to place the US under martial law and confiscate states' balloting machines, and White House lawyers battling to keep Trump focused as he wasn't really paying attention, but anyway, clearly he sided with the crackpots because the election was totally stolen by Venezuela or Soros or whatever. I doubt this was the craziest meeting, and I couldn't even say it's the most fateful for the US, but it was a particularly crazy and fateful meeting anyway.
If the story isn't romanticized and is reasonably accurate, then Herschmann (despite being responsible for the Hunter Biden story) and the rest of the WH staff are heroes for managing to cast enough doubt in the old man so that the unhinged Powell wouldn't get a presidential mandate to fuck up the election system beyond recognition. I cannot imagine what would have happened if she had become special counsel. Funny to see that Trump himself was his usual spineless, useless self the whole way through.

To borrow a bit of schtick from Bill Maher - I can't prove that the Myanmar coup was the result of T***p's toxic politics but I know it's true.
Sure T***p didn't meddle directly but I believe this is another case of tyrants being emboldened by his example and trusting that their coups will be ignored due to the enormous amount of smoke and noise still issuing from Trumpistan.

They've always been difficult, politically, there though.
I'm interested in dema's take on this.

What is so hard about this lesson:
After 9/11 they created a law called "The Patriot Act" that violated the 4th amendment.
It was designed with a name that gave anyone who apposed it a "negative connotation".
"You don't agree with The Patriot Act? Are you an unpatriotic traitor?"
After this precedent, a huge swath of laws were named after things that would make any opposition to them look monstrous.
Then, this practice spread to social discourse.
"You disagree with a political operative group called Media Matters for America? Don't you care about truth in journalism?"
"You disagree with a fraudulent DNC fund raising group started by Media Matters for America called Black Lives Matter? Don't you believe black lives matter?"
"You disagree with anarchists who claim to be anti-facists but will literally kill people who they wish to silence via a swift kick to their unconscious head? Aren't you against facists?"
Just because a group or law has words that imply something does not make a true description of the intention of the group.
Do the BLM fund raisers who hoovered millions of dollars from fortune 500 countries then sent that money to DNC Super PACs rather than African American Communities really
care about "Black Lives"? Surely not.
Do participants in "Antifa" protests understand that real facists are against free speech and would applaud the Antifa tactics to stifle free speech?
Do the participants in "Antifa" understand that real facists are happy to use guilt-by-association tactics to label all who appose them as "evil" and they are also using these tactics?
So is the idea of "Antifa" good? Yes.
Is the implementation of "Antifa" via the hordes of DNC funded brownshirts good? No.

Shepard Smith reporting on FOX News getting it's ass sued off by election technologists, Smartmatic.

Quote:
“The Earth is round,” Smartmatic’s lawyers wrote at the very beginning of the complaint.
“Two plus two equals four. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 election for President and Vice President of the United States,” the suit says. “The election was not stolen, rigged, or fixed. These are facts. They are demonstrable and irrefutable.”
“Defendants have always known these facts,” the suit says.
“But they also saw an opportunity to capitalize on President Trump’s popularity by inventing a story. Defendants decided to tell people that the election was stolen from President Trump and Vice President [Mike] Pence.”
And rootin' tootin' Lauren Boebert(R) (
https://www.salon.com/2021/02/03/boebert-calls-for-investigation-into-trumps-order-to-move-space-command-to-mo-brooks-district/) demands an investigation into T***p's double dealings!
Quote:
A last-minute Trump administration decision to relocate a major Air Force command office to Alabama may bear marks of a favor to Republican Rep. Mo Brooks, who shilled for the former president's election lies and played a role in the events surrounding the Jan. 6 insurrection.
The full Colorado congressional delegation, including GOP freshman outsider Rep. Lauren Boebert, has called on the Biden administration to investigate "significant evidence" of unspecified political influence behind the decision.
"Significant evidence exists that the process was neither fair nor impartial and that President Trump's political considerations influenced the final decision," the nine lawmakers wrote in a Jan. 26 letter, led by Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet. The letter criticizes an unusual decision process conducted after the Pentagon had previously selected Colorado's Peterson Air Force Base in 2019, which former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper declared "unfair."

The real problem is the 49% of 'muricans :D "wanting to believe" this shit.
How they can be so magnetizable?
We are not talking about a gullible secluded tribe in Africa.....oh wait, "white people" is MORE tribal than black? It really seems so.....

So it turns out "The Lincoln Project" leader "John Weaver" was grooming and molesting teenage boys.
This checks with my running theory:
Trump == Blackmail collector cashing-in on his treasure trove
Vitriolic Anti-Trump propaganda == People who know that Trump has this blackmail material against them
PizzaGate \ Qanon == Smoke screen to make Trump blackmail material look absurd and kooky
Thus far, the smokescreen has not been fully effective but NXIVM has largely flown under the radar due to it's association to
the far right theories.

So that's the "pedophile" of the "conspiracies"?
Oh well, wishing real pedophiles are just that.....sadly no, they're totally worse. Big time worse.
You see a "smoke screen" from the left, I see a far-fight clickbaiting narrative "SATANIC PEDOPHILES!!1111" instead of a sad 61 yo acting despicably.
And that has caused 5 deaths. Not "dangerous flirts", deaths.

It all leads back to Jeff Epstein. He was doing blackmail operations for the CIA so he was the former "top blackmailer".
Trump climbed the blackmail ladder of success by identifying other blackmailers and gaining leverage over them.
When he found Epstein, he found a class of blackmailer that he had never encountered before and thought he could use
this information to gain more power than ever imaginable.
He didn't realize that when you mess with the blackmailer who works for the CIA that you now have made yourself a target for nearly everything they are connected to.
(See the Church Committee hearings from the 70's to get a small taste of what Trump stepped into.)
The "Lincoln Project" are just one group of many who are in this predicament. I have a feeling that Tom Steyer is one of the big ones.
His name was explicitly in the Wikileaks releases and he went into full panic mode when Trump got into office.
Is he a pedophile? Hard to say.
Pedo isn't the only thing one can be blackmailed about. He may be party to Hillary's defrauding the local DNC chapters to boost her campaign funds.
Perhaps it's not as glamorous as Pizzagate but this is my estimation.
Lots of dirty secrets being used as bargaining chips while the outside players find ways to discredit the blackmail as "lunacy", "anti-semitism", "alt right propaganda" etc.
A good man would have sought legitimate ways to expose all this without seeking higher fortunes.
Trump is a Ferengi who only understands monetary values and has been trying to leverage his info rather than releasing it to the public.
That said, one wonders whether it would even be possible to use blackmail info that implicates the CIA.
They surely have enough tools in the national media to "discredit" any real info.
Trump is not as savvy as Julian Assange and wouldn't know how to entrap his adversaries by forcing them to disprove digitally signed communications
by a partner (Google) who would be damaged by disproving them.
(Along with many government agencies who use Google signing as proof of their communication integrity.)
