I can't immediately find a link but the other day I read about a woman who voted early by mail-in ballot who subsequently died. Her daughter says she voted for Trump apparently. Not fraud, to my mind, but no doubt used as 'evidence' by some. And no, I don't believe any of the crap that comes out of his mouth and I don't know anyone who does.

This article just says more of the same. I just really like the suggestion that the more Biden wins, from the Trumpkins' perspective, the bigger his fraud must be! :laff: What splendidly stupid logic.

As Joe Biden’s margin of victory has increased with vote counting drawing to a close, Republicans have grown more assertive in giving cover to Donald Trump’s false claims that the US presidential election was stolen from him.

The news I read was about a sick woman who died after voting by mail, where they explained that their ballot would be rejected. Not sure this is the same?

It sucks for sure... but at the same time, I
kind of can get behind that logic: You're given the privilege of voting early based on the assumption that under normal circumstances, you would come in person to vote on election day. It's a bit like postdating a check.
In any case that story was definitely about how this vote (and others like it) would
not count, so it can't be one of the dead voters the Reps complain about.

One of the headlines when I opened up my news sites this morning:
'Postal worker recants claims of fraud cited by Trump campaign, top Republicans'
'Richard Hopkins, a Postal Service worker from Erie, Pennsylvania, alleged that he overheard supervisors discussing a plan to backdate mail-in ballots for Election Day.' 'But Hopkins walked back his assertions when questioned by federal investigators with the Postal Service Inspector General's office, the leader of the watchdog agency told the House Oversight Committee staff on Tuesday.' (yahoo.com/gma/postal-worker-recants-claims-fraud-024203321.html)
Michigan already threw out Trump's lawsuit on the grounds that he has no legitimate proof ((
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/come-on-now-michigan-judge-scoffs-at-and-tosses-trump-campaign-lawsuit-backed-by-hearsay-evidence/ar-BB1aJh2p)). I have no problem with demanding a recount but ffs, how can Trump still believe he won when as of a little while ago the stats were: Biden = 290 electoral/77,055,771 popular votes to Trump's 214 electoral/72,107,795? Even if there are recounts, experts say that Trump still won't have enough votes to win.
We need a new poll now; one that offers options as to what everybody thinks Trump is going to do next. You know, options like will he eventually concede & leave the WH peacefully, will he refuse to concede yet still remain in the WH until Jan.20th, 2021 then leave, will he continue to refuse to concede and then barricade himself in the bunker on Jan. 19 next year, will he leave on a 'vacation' during the holidays and just not come back (from whatever country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US), or will he just do as much damage to our country and democracy, etc., as he possibly can then leave on the appointed date but still do his best to undermine the new president and administration? It just has to be doubly infuriating for Trump that he lost to Obama's former VP considering how much he hates all things Obama. lol
Kids, I've seen 11 other presidents come and go, but never have I ever seen such a shit-show of a circus!

Senior campaign and GOP officials vented that Trump's finance team, led by former Fox TV host and Donald Trump Jr. girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, underperformed and was an HR nightmare. Trump couldn't compete with Biden's small-dollar fundraising machine, and some donors were horrified by what they described as Guilfoyle's lack of professionalism: She frequently joked about her sex life and, at one fundraiser, offered a lap dance to the donor who gave the most money.

Men, what a bunch of social climbers (the Trump Team)

Thom Tillis won the Senate seat in North Carolina, ensuring that the Republicans won't outright lose the Senate and that Democrats will at best get a tie, if they somehow win a pretty big uphill battle in Georgia. A number of House races are still up in the air, but it looks like Republicans managed to at least reduce the Democratic majority by a few seats.
The Senate result doesn't really seem like a very big surprise outcome to me. With a couple of exceptions, the seats that Republicans kept were in quite red states and as for them managing to flip Alabama, the Democratic win there last time was kind of a fluke anyway where the Democrat barely managed to defeat a creepy molester of young girls. The only states that were even kind of close were Michigan, which Democrats narrowly won, and North Carolina, which the Republicans narrowly won, plus Democrats flipping Arizona and Colorado.
It's clear that Republicans benefitted from a large turnout, especially from low propensity voters, but at the same time a not insignificant portion of Republican voters voted for Biden even as they voted for Republicans down the ticket, probably costing Lord Dampnut his cushy seat. There was a blue wave, certainly, but it was largely cancelled out a pretty equal red wave. Otherwise, things might have looked dicey for Republicans perhaps even in Texas, Iowa and Maine.
The election aside, though, it has been quite fascinating to watch Republicans, almost to a man, rally behind the stolen election conspiracy and obstructing the transition. Politico had a lengthy article on the former the other day, and things have not improved much meanwhile: (
