It's such a bizarre thing to see people criticise hey about the Xmas thing. Of all the things to pick on its so inconsequential.
I'd agree if it wasn't for the sentiment behind the words rather than the words themselves.

Can you explain? It seems like an anti capitalist, anti time waste sentiment. Which I can get behind.
All these festivals are really money making hamster wheels - Valentines, Mother's Day and Father's Day etc. Cards, presents, over inflated this and that. It's all bollocks really.

Saw this on twitter (which I normally try to avoid, btw):
Quote:
You want to know how much the Navajo Nation dislikes trump?
1. Of the 85,000 registered voters on Navajo, 76,000 voted. 89% Turn out.
2. Of those 76,000 voters 74,000 voted for Biden & 2,000 for Trump.
3. Biden’s current lead in Arizona sits at about 40,000.

Maybe we should change the name of the thread. Renz? Pwz?
Trump Dump is pretty apt...

Maybe just start a new thread ? A new beginning?
I propose the title: "Biden and Harris: raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens!"

Of course.
But don't forget that Ivanka and Mr Kushner are of of jewish religion (and Kushner directly from a jew family).

All those festivals bring family and friends together. They are times of good will for most. They are part of the glue of society. I swear if you ever saw the joy of a child putting on tinsel you wouldn't say that.

Yeah, I get that of course. We have an Xmas meal and I'm the one who does/arranges most of it.
I hate the commercialisation of it all though. We don't go over the top with tasteless decorations and stupid Santa hats and whatever.

This has nothing to do with it.

Ivanka more than Melania was the "first lady" and jews don't celebrate Christmas, they celebrate Hannukah.
And if you check the twitter account posts of Trump you can see the happy Hannukah wishes.
