Of course, with the latter, an abusive husband might demand proof in the form of a photo, etc.
Yes, it's definitely not perfect, and I imagine that's one of the reasons why photography in polling places or of voting papers is not allowed in some jurisdictions. That's particularly important in terms of the abuse situation in particular because unlike with buying votes, it's quite likely the abuser will be physically at the voting place to notice if you spoil the paper after the photo and swap it for a replacement.

The difference between the left and the right is the left start off from a "everyone should be happy" stance.
But as soon as it dawns on them that there cannot be a single circumstance where everyone is happy, the stance changes: "take what isn't yours and distribute it".

Capitalism already takes the money generated by labor and distributes it among people who didn't do anything to earn it. Social democracy acts as a balance to that.

Yeah that's right, we're all coming to steal your bus pass.

It always starts with the bus passes.

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has tested positive for Covid-19, officials have told US media.
It was not immediately clear how Mr Meadows - who has often appeared at public events without a face mask - was infected.
...
Indeed, what a mystery.

history has shown that compulsory voting democracies are far better than voluntary ones, give or take a few for example Denmark.

Not all of America’s news networks have called the election for Joe Biden – but it seems like some young Trump supporters on TikTok have already accepted that result.
Kelsey Vlamis reports for Business Insider on a trend that has swept the social media site since Friday – young Trump supporters posting clips of themselves folding up their Trump 2020 flags and congratulating Biden.
The trend started Friday. The first video was posted by a user with an audio clip of the song “Latch” by Disclosure. He folds up his Trump 2020 flag and has text over the video that says, “Good luck, Biden.”
“I wish nothing but good health and love for him,” it reads. “Trump, I’ll miss you, sir. Stay united, America.”
Hundreds of similar videos have since been created with the same audio clip, many showing young supporters of the president taking down flags or removing Trump hats.

That's the kind of message I'm seeing from most of my pro-Trump contacts today too. It really is a group-think kind of movement. I mean it's healthier than a lot of alternatives in this case, so I'm not complaining.
