I'm a benevolent demagogue. I only use my powers of persuasion for good. I promise!

Thanks dema and Jason! My understanding is that Biden had a solid lead in Arizona but that it keeps shrinking while more votes are being counted. Some outlets say that it was called for Biden too early so I was wondering if Trump could still overtake him in that state. But I understand that even if he does, it probably won’t be enough.

I'm pretty confident in Biden taking PA which is enough by itself, NV which doesn't really matter at this point, mildly confident in GA, and I think AZ is going to be Biden but really really close. Mail-in ballots from Mariposa county should be heavily Biden leaning but I don't think anyone really knows yet.
I'm also pretty confident that Trump's attempts at legal action will continue to go nowhere. He sued to get the count stopped in Michigan and the judge basically said "we're already done", he's going to (within his rights) ask for a Wisconsin recount but he's not going to swing 20,000 votes that way, his lawsuit in PA claiming that his observers weren't allowed to watch the counting in Philly basically meant that instead of standing 15 feet away from the counting they can stand 6 feet away now. So it's a whole bunch of loud nothing, and I don't think Trump's own party is going to let him weasel out of this. If some sort of massive violence breaks out, which isn't going to happen (the vast...VAST majority of people are being really civilized here from what I can tell) it's going to be like 90% of the population vs 10%.

If the GOP abandons Lord Dampnut, it's because nobody is going to put their money on the loser (except, apparently, Lindsey Graham and Sean Hannity). But they still have his fanbase to contend with. GOP is, for all intents and purposes, the party of Lord Dampnut now. If the GOP thinks they can just run Trumpism through the carwash and give it a new respectable coat, they fundamentally don't understand how cults of personality work and the amount of crazy at work here.

Jesus Vae, you're just bound and determined to contribute nothing of value to this discussion, aren't you?
Speak for yourself - I’m finding his floundering about to be comedy gold.
I’m missing the measured and highly intellectual contributions of Slyfoxx though; but I guess he’s storming a vote counting centre right about now.

Biden has taken the lead in Georgia! I read he's about to claim victory.
Regardless of what he or the media declares, there's no new president or presidential winner until the litigation is resolved and Congress meets.

Trump himself is done. He'll be gone in January. Nobody will be interested in him or what he says. He will be tweeting of course, for the next few years until his fat ass dies.
The problem is the next GOP presidential candidate. I predict he will be even more outlandish than Trump was. More extreme, more dumb, more divisive.
I think 2024 is too soon for Ivanka. I predict she'll be a candidate in 2028. But I might be wrong, she might run for president in 2024. And you might laugh at me, I think she has a good chance to win the GOP candidacy in 2028. Watch out. (To be clear, Trump's 2 sons are such born losers, that even the Trumpites won't want them as president).

I think Trump is going to tweet his nuts off for 4 years and spend the entire time talking about how the criminal communist left stole the election from him, then make another run in 2024. If he hasn't died (he'd be a 78 year old Covid survivor after all).

Arizona is still in play. AP and Fox called Arizona for Biden early assuming that the absentee ballots (mostly in Maricopa county) would favor Biden. But instead they have been favoring Trump. It's sort of the opposite of PA. The latest estimate is 93.6% counted, with about 200k left to go. Biden is 47k ahead. So Trump needs 60% of the remaining votes to catch up. It's going to be close, but if the trend over the last day continues, Trump just might pull it off.
Either way, it's going to be close enough that someone will request a recount. Same for Pennsylvania and Georgia and Wisconsin. Possibly NV too depending on how that goes - they've still got 10% left to count. Assuming there are recounts, this won't be over for another week at least.
