I don't think it's fixable through education because education is already politicized and it's getting more so over time. I think the divide is going to get worse for a while. I'm worried that my kids will be part of a generation who are raised from an early age to see the world in one of two fundamentally different ways.
I can't think of anything that's going to bring us together aside from a natural disaster on a scale we haven't seen before (obviously COVID-19 isn't nearly enough), or a once-a-century major external threat, a WW3, something like that.

Even if Biden gets to be president, this can hardly be called a win as long as the country is divided by hatred (and full of private weapons).
What are the plans to re-unite the US? Are there any that involve more than hoping the other side will realize their errors?
As much as it would be satisfying to see mass criminal prosecutions, the threat of investigation and litigation will just make people entrench further. It might be best all around to have a Truth And Reconciliation approach, rather than a punitive one. It helped South Africa a lot. It wasn't perfect but I am sure it prevented a lot or retaliatory back and forth.

I'm watching Trump live.
What a hypocrite. Whiner. Sore loser. Wannabe fascist. And stupid. It's unbelievable that 350m people had to put up with him for 4 years.
Rambling and rambling. He has won, everybody else are crooks and criminals, theft and fraud everywhere, country going down the drain, they have loads of proof.
Normally someone like that, with so many anxieties and delusions and accusations, is locked up in the nuthouse.
Biden is now only 3500 votes behind in Georgia. 99% counted. 2.9m counted so far, so 1% is 30k votes to go. Edit: CNN claims 18k ballots to go in Georgia, Trump is up 64k votes in PA, ~250k ballots to go.
Edit2: I can understand Trump doesn't like CNN. They are roasting him. Burning him to the ground. And rightly so. Anderson Cooper described Trump as "Like an obese turtle on its back, flailing in the sun".
Edit3: Supposedly NBC dropped out of Trump's pressconference halfway. They said: "the president is lying. We're not gonna broadcast this, because it's just not true". Jezus ...

I was expecting to be entertained at least, but that was a shit speech all around. Trump just repeated the same lies that have already been proven wrong before. I was naively hoping that he'd come to his senses at last, but he just threw even more fuel into the fire. They'll really have to drag him out of the White House kicking and screaming I guess.

The world is about to see what full-on narcissist collapse looks like, and it's going to look already looking ugly, and Trumpkins, those 69 million people that voted for him & any other defenders, are about to understand what it means to be the flying monkey army for a pwNPD, that everything was always a lie from the beginning, he always held them in contempt and was cynically calling on them to fight his battles, the only thing he ever cared about; and when the collapse comes, how eager & desperate he'll be to stab them in the back too, anything to save himself and claim the role of victim.
Edit: I think at the end of the day, the people that will get a lot of credit for Biden's victory is going to be Arizona flipping, which was the one state he had to have if he couldn't have PA (although it seems he'll still win PA in the end). But there's poetic justice to Arizona's vote too because it's like the final screw you from John McCain from beyond the grave, and AZ & NV both have higher than average Hispanic & Native American populations, so there's something almost karmic about the key role they had to play in booting him out.

Trump is a genius but you can't see his grades.
Trump is healthy but you can't see his medical reports.
Trump is rich but you can't see his tax returns.
Trump is innocent but you can't have a DNA sample.
Trump is a winner but you can't count the votes.

So making broad claims that the process is rife with fraud is enough in itself to justify an investigation?
The President will be presenting evidence of any fraud, error, and malfeasance to various courts, assuming he loses with the current tabulations. Collectively, this could lead to a formal investigation.

Jesus Vae, you're just bound and determined to contribute nothing of value to this discussion, aren't you?
Remember when I called you a Goldmoon Dawn sockpuppet? I take that back. He was sometimes unintentionally funny.

The irony is that I and others have contributed constructive value to this discussion, and you've contributed nothing.
"Everyone I don't like is a misogynist or a Nazi" + personal attacks =/= value to the discussion
