It's also worth noting, while not atheist (I don't think atheism was even a thing at the time really), lots of our founding fathers were Deists. The Jefferson Bible was basically the New Testament with all of the supernatural shit taken out of it. There's a reason that the Constitutional Convention wasn't able to gather enough support to make this a Christian nation by law. The "OMG JESUS" thing is fairly recent as far as American politics goes, and AFAIK originated largely as a response to Communism.

Concerns about China are absolutely legit too.
Concentration camps? Theirs make the ICE efforts look like trips to the beach.

Some result updates:
Biden's lead in WI is still growing. 0.7% now with 92% ballots counted.
Trump's lead in MI is rapidly shrinking. It's quickly gone from over 4% to 0.5% with 86% reported, and still 1/3 of the vote left to be counted in Detroit.
I don't want to count my chickens but it would appear that Trump is toast, even if he somehow won PA and GA.
Don't count your chickens. Biden's lead in Nevada is only about 7500 votes and they estimate it's only 87% counted. If Trump wins Nevada and Pennsylvania, he can lose Wisconsin and Michigan.
I'm assuming Biden takes AZ and Trump takes NC and GA. Those all look like safe bets.
If Biden is able to claim NV, MI, and WI, then we can feel confident in a Biden victory without having to wait for PA absentee ballots to be counted. But if Trump takes any of those states, then it all rides on PA where Trump currently has a huge fucking lead.

AZ is already Biden's though, isn't it? They've been saying so since hours ago.

GA has about 450,000 absentee votes left to count and they're all in areas that are heavily Dem to begin with. He needs about 2/3 of those to win the state, and I bet he'll win closer to 4/5. That's why NYTimes currently has him slightly favored there.
Most of the late votes are going to go for Biden because more Democrats voted via mail this year while most Republicans voted in person. I would not be surprised if he swept the 6 remaining competitive states. It's going to seriously blow people's minds when PA starts reporting absentee ballots.

Pete Stark is the only one I can think of who was openly atheist.
When I was living in MA, our House Rep was Barney Frank, who was agnostic.
Thanks for those names !
However ....

So I don't know. He doesn't seem like an atheist to me.
The atheists I know (70% of the people in my country, 99% of the people I know) have a different attitude. We think "what ? atheist or agnost or whatever ? there is no god. isn't it obvious? don't bother me with these stupid questions".
Barney Frank

As you said, he's not an atheist. Again, for me there's no real difference with agnosticism (except purely theoretical). And he admits he tried to "hide" the fact that he's not religious anymore. And even if not religious, he's still jewish. It's not a clear cut example of someone who doesn't believe in god and who doesn't believe religion is important.

So you are saying that the US has regressed ? :p
The USA still has a long way to go before it is a modern society.
Anyway, enough about atheism.
Let's hope Biden wins this.

Arizona is only 85% counted. The estimate is about 415k votes left to count, and Biden's lead is 93k. As I said, I think it's a safe bet. But it's not over.

The AP called it, others haven't.
Edit. It's fast and furious here today.

Fox News were the first people to call AZ (ironically?) and they seem pretty confident in that call.

What's more modern than the fading embers of late-stage capitalism baby.
