Yeah, lately Tony has been trying to out-do even Vae with the Orange Man Bad  shtick taken up a few levels.
Although I sometimes think he just really wants to join the Arma sessions and has concluded that ultimately video games are more important than politics, so says what he's gotta say. Considering that I think most of what people call by the name of "politics" isn't even real politics (in the sense of data-heavy policy debates; they're just spouting off conspiracies or extreme and lopsided rhetoric as an outlet for some kind of deeper fear or rage or humiliation or pick your strong emotion, the real solution to which isn't political talk but finding a quiet place and doing some serious soul searching about what's important in life) but an emotional experience with a game is always real and important, I'm actually rooting for that kind of mindset catching on and being a saving grace that helps heal societies' divides generally. (A guy can wish, anyway.) But I don't know if that's really what this is.
If you want the kind of left longing for heads to roll, you'll have to wait for June. But they're just shooting a few drive by posts on a rare occasion anymore. I think this forum even leans left on the whole, but the only radicals we got are on the right, or whatever you want to call the crypto-libertarian-types. That's just my impression.

Got to say, this new, guillotine-licking brand of leftism is very high-energy. Why bawl over the collected works of losers like Sartre and Chomsky when you can execute people out in the street just like that? I mean, I know some fairly right-wing people, and not even they are these stone cold killer motherfuckers. These ?guys?, for all the soy, just blast away like it's 1919. Chadly.
There's a fun bit in Bill James' book on the Baseball Hall Of Fame about the origins of left and right in politics. No idea if it's true but I like citing it anyway:

I'm guessing some people learned you don't bring mace to a gun fight. The guy doing the shooting was apparently hired as a bodyguard for one of the local news crews and responded to being assaulted with mace by a big dumb redneck the way I imagine most people with a gun would.

The shooter was arrested today.
Given who he shot, I'm wonder how his inevitable self-defense plea will play out with the talking heads.

Nope. I found something better in a local airsoft group. I already explained what happened is that someone I care for died because of an anti-masker.

There's something almost mathematically pure about Trump's narcissistic malevolence, and (

Donald Trump offered to kiss members of the audience and claimed he was immune to Covid-19 during a rally in Florida that marked the US president's return to the campaign trail just 10 days after he was hospitalised with the virus.
“They say I'm immune. I feel so powerful . . . I'll kiss the guys and the beautiful women,” Mr Trump said on Monday night in front of a cheering crowd, many of whom were not wearing masks or practising social distancing.
He's kissing people not even two weeks after being first diagnosed with a virus that can stay infectious for "10 days or longer", and the only thought that occurs to him is his own immunity from re-infection. That's some kind of industrial-strength self-centeredness.

I would expect nothing less from (

Quote:
“He’s literally saved Christianity,” Eric Trump told “What’s on Your Mind” host Scott Hennen in remarks first highlighted by CNN. “I mean, there’s a full out war on faith in this country by the other side.”
“The Democratic Party, the far left, has become the party of the ‘atheists,’ and they want to attack Christianity, they want to close churches, they’re totally fine keeping liquor stores open,” he said, referring to COVID-19 orders by governors in some states labeling liquor stores as “essential” businesses, while also putting limitations on the number of people allowed in houses of worship.
