Speaking of social distancing, if you read the clinical recommendations for dealing with a person with severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a common refrain you're going to see, probably the principal recommendation, is to just find ways to unilaterally cut the person out of your life and being very strict not to backslide, so you make sure you have zero interactions with them.
Any interactions are inevitably going to lead to further exploitation of the mark or supply by a critical lack of empathy, and there is no reasoning or hoping things will get better. Not even the smallest interactions should pass to the extent possible. Any chance of it, cut your losses and burn it.
I think Melania figured that out long ago; just say tf away from him. /shrug/ I'm not in much mood to compare the GOP and its base to emotionally abused women sticking to their man while he openly exploits them.... I'm saying it's clinically important that people being vicitimized by Trump exclude him from any influence or involvement in any aspect of their lives. Considering him as an entity which doesn't exist isn't just a matter of making a cheap political swipe; it's important to one's mental health and well being.

That's right, here in the Netherlands it was a stressful time for our medical systems. That might happen again should we face a second wave by opening up too soon. But the system held up despite the stress. No bodies had to be put in cooler trucks like in New York. And no one runs the risk of medical bankruptcy no matter how long they have to stay in an intensive care ward, because of mandatory health insurance and the dreaded (by people like you) single payer system. Also, our unemployment percentages are much lower than yours are. The government helps companies to keep employees on the payroll by paying up to 90% of their salaries. And the suicide rate has
lowered even though experts are struggling to explain why. So yeah, "socialism" works pretty well for us, thanks for asking!

She's the true libertarian candidate. Her stance on healthcare and unregulated business will make her highly unpopular with the liberals, and her stance on open borders and immigration means that the conservatives will loathe her.
Honestly, she's a better pick for the presidency than either Biden or Trump, simply for the facts that she isn't loathed by half the electorate, and probably won't drop dead from old age anytime soon. Hell, I bet she can even form complete sentences. Unfortunately, I just can't see her having a chance this late in the game.
If Justin Amash couldn't even survive the winnowing process for two months, despite being the type of classical conservative politician Republicans used to swear by before the age of Trump, I can't imagine her making any headway.

The problem with Libertarians is that they're not really a coherent party, not like the Democrats and Republicans. They're barely organized, ideologically fractured, and just all over the damn place. It's basically just a label people decide to slap on themselves when they don't want to run as a D or an R.
