Yes, they cut his sentence off at, "We can only re-elect Donald Trump," and pretend that he said something nonsensical or accidentally endorsed his opponent.
If they had played the full sentence, it would have been, "We can only re-elect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here," which makes full sense in the context.
