That is kind of the insidiousness of the Trump presidency, isn't it? We have all these professional people from all these various foreign countries being slammed with such gross ineptitude by he and his administration, they don't know how to respond to it, so it ends up somehow succeeding. It's like "yeah, he came in and started babbling about that time he stuck his dick in an ottoman, and the next thing I know, I've agreed to a 20% tariff on lumber! I can't even say he tricked me, because there's my signature right there, square on the dotted line."
Sure, we're all gonna be screwed when our luck runs out, but until that day comes, holy shit!

The thing is, what can we do about the rest? The Democrats could build a case, and Jesus Christ himself could come down from on high, surrounded by a thousand angels, all singing ballads of Trump's guilt in front of the House of Representatives while the Mississippi river mysteriously turns to into fine red wine, and the Senate would still vote along party lines.
They'd probably end up sacrificing Romney to a giant golden calf this go round. Mammon must always be sated.

I don't think succeeding is quite the word you're looking for, when a full third of your farm income in the last year consisted of aid payments. Tariffs may sound beneficial and slapping them on a country may kind of seem like a power move, but they are essentially one of the largest tax increases you have had for decades, effectively wiping out any gains from the tax cuts for the ordinary consumers and then some.

If Jesus Christ came down in the US, he'd be called a communist libtard Democrat and then detained and deported.
As for what you can do... Fight like hell. Organise. Join an Indivisible group. Rally around whoever wins the nomination and support them. Support journalism. Put pressure on the media that doesn't do its job properly. Put pressure on politicians who don't do their jobs properly. Make sure there is a non-trivial political cost involved with letting Lord Dampnut get away. Support and welcome any and all dissenters, no matter their party affiliation. Build a broad coalition to oppose Lord Dampnut. As for what the Democrats can do at the party level, let's just say this Benghazi is just only getting started.
