Quote:
Kurdish forces long allied with the United States in Syria announced a new deal Sunday with the government in Damascus, a sworn enemy of Washington that is backed by Russia, as Turkish troops moved deeper into their territory and President Donald Trump ordered the withdrawal of the U.S. military from northern Syria.
The sudden shift marked a major turning point in Syria's long war.
For five years, U.S. policy relied on collaborating with the Kurdish-led forces both to fight the Islamic State group and to limit the influence of Iran and Russia, which support the Syrian government, with a goal of maintaining some leverage over any future settlement of the conflict.

Given that you blamed Obama for the rise of ISIS after pulling out of Iraq, I guess you'll say the same of Trump if this ends up blowing up in our faces as well. Which it will, because it always fucking does. It's the Middle East, yall! Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

You can't be serious, the first "terrorists" promoting women rights and advocating for a true democracy with no tribal tracts.....in the Middle East.
No, you're NOT serious.
In B4 the classical fascist argument "
Women rights ARE in fact terrorism, versus-family-based-society terrorism".

The Kurds have had their violent moments, same as just about everyone else in that region of the world. That said, they're far from being as terrible as, say, the Wahhabists, or some of the secular movements that have arisen in the area, like the Baathists. They're pretty low on the totem pole as far as that goes.

Called what? Kurds needing new allies after their old ones turned out to be untrustworthy traitors? Apparently, there's a saying gaining traction in the region -- "Never get into a well with an American rope." (

Meanwhile, captured ISIS fighters are using the opportunity to make their escape and Kurdish people are being slaughtered. Among them has been Hervin Khalaf, a Kurdish politician and human rights activist. She was one of the people who advocated for a peaceful coexistance and a democratic secular state.
But at least Lord Dampnut's Istanbul Towers are safe, right?

The one thing you all need to realize about JK is that he doesn't give a shit one way or the other. He's just here to rile you all up.

He's useful as a sounding board. If only he didn't spam so much.

It's pretty clear, no one can seriously compare "Kurd terrorism" to islamic fundamentalists one......Kurds want a democratic country
with no tribal tracts.
The only way to figure/picture them out as terrorists is the "good old" fascist method "
THEY ARE SUBVERSIVE BASTARDS WITH NO GOD NOR FAMILY NOR LAW!!!1111"

The Kurds may have their beef with the Turks and some of them have committed terrorist attacks in Turkey and I'm not diminishing that, but before this Turkish invasion happened Kurds, Arabic muslims, christians and yezidi's lived peacefully together in the Kurd-controlled region in northern Syria. Now all that is gone, the Kurds are at the mercy of ruthless dictator Assad and as a bonus, hundreds of actual IS terrorists have escaped from previously Kurd-guarded camps and now roam free in the region, ready to regroup and commit terrorist attacks in Syria or move to Europe to do it over there, Gee, what an improvement, thanks mr. Erdogan!

If you want to know how desperate, duplicitous and deluded Trumpists are, JK's our bot.
And speaking of sounding boards, John Bolton just threw the entire administration under the bus, according to the NYT.
