What are those strange dwemer artifacts under the mad womans house in Mournhold?? They are evil. Can they be collected or killed in any way? Cos there are 2 chests surrounded by them and the curiosity is unbearable, lol. But, alas, I can not reach the chests, even when invisible AND flying, I die horribly. Also, I find it funny that I am the protector of mournhold, the Bane of Dagoth Ur and my reputation is only 15. lol. Maybe I smell? heh heh
Anything of any interest in them crates at all?
Take care

Invest in a bit of telekinetic ability and find out for yourself :D
Although:
it's only a whole load of loot. Of far more interest to the collector are the arrows and mace the crazy lady has.
The second item Myoldnamebroke mentions above is one of the museum items, btw.

Where is the mad womans house? I haven't actually done many sidequests and so I haven't talked to many people unless they were in the Main Quest. I'm interested in... what's in the chests.
Ania on 2/5/2003 at 22:24
IIRC, across the main road from the museum, second house on the left.

How do you get to the entrance to the sewers below her house? It's behind that wall... but I can't get past it.
Ah, just something I thought of... It's how to get past those dwemer devices. The woman said something about sneaking... those devices aren't, by any chance, activated by movement, are they? Because I think if you have a high enough sneak level you could sneak past them. Just a thought. Tell me if it works so you can tell me how to actually get there ;)

It is a scripted event mate. :) Just go and talk to some people about her 'madness'(The guy upstairs in the craftsmans hall is one of them) and keep checking back at her house. Eventually a guy in a purple robe will be wondering around outside the vicinity of her house. He tells you some bad things have happened, then you go back into house and the way is now clear.
BE WARNED; those dwemer things are Nasteh!! :) But I love em ;P
Also, I killed her (the mad vixen) and took her stuff. Cant remember where I dropped it though. But a little tip, in case you experienced / newer players dont know it, but when I kill something and it has something I want but cant carry, I take it off the body and drop it on the floor. That way, when the body dissappears later on, the goodies on it won't! :) They will still be on the floor where you left em.
I'm currently trying to execute some reverse psychology on Alma, by leaving Sunder and Keening at her feet in the high chapel. :p

Ha, thanks. I worked it out though. Sneaking does work, heh. And now I've got enough stuff to equal probably around 2 million gold :cheeky:
Dregor on 4/5/2003 at 11:38
Two Mil? That all? You could just use the console to give yourself as much gold as you want :p
BTW though, console commands only work for me if I reset my controls to default. Anyone else get the same problem? Or is it because I used right shift as my inventory item. The possible questions are endless! :)
Sorry, but it has to be said, default MW controls suck. Im a hardcore Q3 Arena player (1.32 CTFS, OSP CTF & CA, FFA, Instagib) so my setup and cfg have to be spot on. How hard is it to jump and strafe at same time on standard MW controls? Eugh.
And, is there a way to make the keyboard a UK layout instead of USA?
lol, I made myself a Heart Ring Variant on TES yesterday Features are :-
Reflect 100%
Resist Fire, Poison,Paralysis, Shock, Frost 100%
Restore 1000 Health
chameleon 100%
Constant Effect.
heh heh. Walked into Mournhold Museum and killed all the guards, then went and killed the tooled up Gaenor in Temple Courtyard. Jesus, that guy has 255 (I think) Luck, no wonder you cant hit him!!
I like TES. I think I might start playing about with it. I will give TES a go too. :p

I'm only level 38 and I've been doing the Tribunal Main Quest for most of it, lol.
Anyway, you're asking me to cheat? I can't do that! It's... ...cheating. I can't believe you couldn't beat Gaenor... heh. Granted I couldn't make a dent on him first time around. Morrowind is more fun if you don't cheat.
I've changed my controls a bit too (I use the arrow keys to move. Jumping at the same time is hard, but possible. I couldn't get use to moving with letters, lol.) I haven't had much trouble with the console at all. It works just fine :cheeky:
