I stopped watching T.V quite a while ago. I think I made the right decision.
My general experience with the internet is that if a site doesn't explicitly present itself as right-wing, it tends to be somewhat leftist. I suspect it may be because right-wingers tend to have families and less time to waste on the internet.

Holy christ you cannot be serious. In your world to liberals all live in college lofts or something?

They sit around sipping lattes in trendy cafes near their small inner city residences where they could not possibly have children even if they wanted, which they don't.
:p

Paz, in my mind, the gun control issue is quite simple. The liberals (nearly all of them, at least) want to take my legally purchased, legally owned rifle from me. It's worth over a thousand dollars, none of which would be reimbursed to me if guns were banned tomorrow and my rifle stolen, er, confiscated (which would happen if guns were banned). The conservatives, on the other hand, don't. At least, I've never met someone who calls himself a conservative but who wants to ban guns.
Conservative and liberal are quite clear cut. If you want to ban guns, your stance on the gun control issue is liberal. If you want to keep guns, your stance on the gun control issue is conservative. See what I'm saying here? It's not whether you personally are 100% liberal or conservative, it's your stance on a specific issue.
For that matter, you are correct that few people are 100% liberal or conservative - even I, the American troglodyte right wing wacko religious nut, think that there should be some government welfare. However, people tend to be consistent about their issues. If you are pro-abortion, anti-death penalty, anti-gun, and pro-gay, don't be surprised if people label you a liberal!

To be fair you've only ever met 4 people.

Sometimes it's the mind that's simple, not the issue.
