You were so very close to getting one, but you had to spoil it by calming down >;D

I can ban you now if you'd like a retroactive "time-out"... just let me know. :cheeky:

Bans just prevent someone from posting, right? Is it technically possible (or even feasible) for a ban to prevent a person from even viewing the site?

Yes, it is. And yes, we do on occasion.

We have issued temp bans where it has been deemed necessary, although these have been given out recently to people who could do with taking a break from the forums for a while rather than outright rule breaking.
You mean you ban people for medical reasons?
Like: "Jeez, he's been online for 50h straight. Give it a break buddy!"
You are superconsiderate! :)

:laff::laff: I've been online for 50 hours straight before, I never got banned. What's up with that? :joke:

Women are changeable. Thats the lesson.
I think the lesson is more like: when other people say that someone "has said" something, it's not always the truth. :P

I just saw a new thread today in comm chat where someone got banned after their very first post. This has got me curious because none of the posters after the bannee (new word? :cheeky: ) reacted to his post in any way. The only explanation I can come up with is that the person was already banned and tried to register an alt?
