We have a new one just a few miles away. The damn thing was just built and covers about 16000 square feet. Never go there, but my neighbors love the place.
The most surprising thing about this thread is that AR can actually write and tell a good story. A thing not always evident in his usual ramblings. :)

Is it just me or does Ikea design their stores so you cannot possibly find your way out in under 30 minutes? I mean, I remember going in to see what they had and got lost. I followed the exit signs and the map, and they led me circles quite literally. Left to exit, straight.. left again.. right.. straight.. left, left, left....
I forgot what I bought on the way out... some candy bar as a reward for finding the exit or something.

It looks like a Cawarra Merlot - drinkable, but not great.

Anybody else's irony meter spike for this one?
We don't have Ikea where I live, and I happen to know that Wal Mart has lava lamps? I'm not sure I see the irony.

I think the irony is that after reading AR's post, you won't go into Ikea, but you are prepared to go into Wal-Mart.

I don't go to Wal Mart for the furniture, but for the cheap jerky, batteries, hot cheetos, and cheap warm beverages in mass quantity, which I can refrigerate. By that I mean I refrigerate all of the above -- for fun and profit. But I only go after 11, when all the bad elements are gone. 'side from the employees.

What's wrong with lava lamps? Sure, they went out of style a long time ago, but they're cool looking.

[edit] Also, the nearest Ikea is about a fifteen-minute drive from here. That, and for some reason, they're pretty reasonably priced here, unlike what I've seen of them in the US. [/edit]
