I can still play Thief G/2, but now, whenever I start the official games or an FM, this message pops up:

I'm using R Soul's NewDarkLoader. It does the same thing, though, when I use FMsel or Darkloader (I tried both).
This message only started appearing recently. The only thing I've changed Thief-related lately was when I installed TDP (this being separate from my already-existing TG install). When I first launched TDP, this same message appeared. No biggie / surprise, I just checked the box for it not to show again. And since, when I launch TDP (which is clean, with no NewDark or anything else), this message does not show.
So why does it keep showing when I launch anything TG or T2? I can live with it, but it's annoying, and I'm just curious how in the world me installing TDP could have caused this.
I'm using Windows 7 x64, and NewDark 1.24. And for clarity: I've been using NewDark, FMsel, and NewDarkLoader since they became available, and this has never happened until recently, and the only thing I've done differently has been installing TDP.

windows is probably not allowed to write the file/key that marks the message as having been read before. run the game as admin, or (for the love of god) move it out of your default program files directory.

It isn't in my default program files directory. Each of my Thief games are directly under C:\. They've sat there for the longest, no problems...this message just started appearing out of the blue.
Running as admin didn't stop it. I might try a fresh install.
