Extra road tax, plane tax, air tax, bridge tax and multi-level building tax. Being able to afford to feed yourself again will be nicely synchronised with the time that all your money stops disappearing into a vortex of taxes.
Once you recognise the link between what you eat and how active you are - not a tough link at all - you really are entirely responsible for your weight. That's not to say it's easy to change these things (self-control is hard), but that changing them is in your hands.

Never mind the increased risk of so many medical problems - being overweight just makes all medical treatment harder for you; from difficulty accessing the usual superficial veins to altered drug doses and pharmacokinetics because of fat distribution to making procedures/operations harder and more dangerous. Heck, in the UK if you're over a certain weight you can't have general anaesthetic because it's too dangerous. I shudder to think what American doctors have to deal with.

Umm, I'm in college and I will boldly say that atleast half of the girls are packing atleast 5 pounds extra, and they all have tight jeans on and belly shirts. Even the ones with conspicuous guts wear low shirts to show off their bigger boobs and sometimes even show a little belly. Quite honestly, I would prefer a girl packing a little (5-15 lbs) extra than a girl that is 5-15 under.
