The closest we came to fascism was FDR's administration. What we've got now is a bunch of idiots who think they have a magic money-making machine, and when I say that I'm referring to Congress. Bush isn't all that important, but apparently a lot of people find him fun to hate. Fascists have a plan. It's always a godawful plan, and that's why I'm thankful more aren't thought up in D.C.

There's plenty of legitimate reasons to hate Bush that don't have anything to do with some alarmist fear over fascism.
