Well, a new monitor arrived. It's an Acer still, but if it ever goes tits-up I'll just switch back to the CRT until I can get a better monitor. No dead pixels this time, so that's good at least.
One nice thing about this monitor is that it has an adjustable aspect ratio, so 4:3 games don't look all stretched out.

My laptop does that shit, and it is an Acer (aspect-ratio switching). Awesome for the older games that don't support widescreen.

I can't believe they even manufacture monitors without adjustable aspect ratio. Thank god it's standard on all the video cards.
