Oh, you're aiming at that. Well, I sort of learned to live with lack of realism in games, SS2 in particular. FTL drives, telepathic hacking of organic beings into computer systems, being able to survive a granade explosion (on every difficulty), etc. etc. is all imo very unreallistic stuff, but don't change the fact that SS2 is mine no.1 game ever :). Reallistic would probably also be that the grenade launcher should wipe out everything with 2 shots max, etc., but that would kill the game balance all out.
I'm glad it's a thin line so far ;). Impossible isn't for everyone but should provide satisafaction if/when you finish the game. Also, you can't create a lousy build and expect to finish the game on Impossible.
Btw. if you're a hacker you need only STR 2 for Light Armor since you get Brawnboost from the start ;)
I'll check it later (replicator) when I'm on my PC. If it's the one where the Auto-Repair unit is I remember testing it and it worked fine.

I'm nearing the Cargo Bays on Engineering Deck.
I wonder how would I fare with Marine build or such... hacking seems a MUST now with those ultra-sensible-unforgiving cameras. I agree with your camera modifications, but in some places it's impossible to get through (or DAMN difficult) due to their positions. And I've been playing Thief for almost 10 years now ( ) ...
Another thing... Hazard Suit requires END 6?! :) Now, friend, it's not only not realistic, now it's unfair too! ;)
Anyway, again, it could be just me.

When I played Impossible I had Heavy 6, Standard 3, and I didn't take Hack at all for the specific reason to test sneaking. There were only 5 or so cameras in the entire game which were impossible (or next to) to pass with low Agility, but that's why you have the Psi Power, or Speed boosters, or you can bump up your AGI.
Btw, I edited some cameras rotations and such to make it more managable (such as the one in Science in the corrifor where there is that room with the monkey and a hybrid).
As for Hazard Suit... When you look at what it does, it protects you from Radiation and Toxin: radiation is dangerous at only one place in the game, and if you are poisoned while wearing the Suit you still have to use hypos. In short, it wasn't very useful as armor at all and no one ever wore it save in BotM rad pools. So, I added Reaver protection to it and changed it's requirement to a higher level and different skill. Considering what it does now, I think it's justified. Again, realism would probably be some STR requirement, not END, but I think it's far better balanced this way.

I forgot to mention, I tested the replicator and all items work fine with me, the same when it is hacked. Do you have problem with every item, or some in particular?

I'll check other reps on my way. :)

Hm, this doesn't work in multiplayer for me, with 2 identical installs {other than binds..} I think it's something to do with that respawn setting thing. I regularly play ss2 with 2 friends and the game was becoming too easy.. this mod seems to have fixed that, but if i can't play it on multiplayer that's really a moot point for me >_>
is it possible for you to fix it or am I doing it wrong so it crashes?
It crashes the instant you finish the training and sync with the players, with those red boxes floating there. Only the host crashes to be exact if that helps

To say the truth I have never played multiplayer. I presume that all mods that deal with difficulty in that area do that mostly by adjusting Gamesys parameters in Shocked (like starting HPs, Psi, etc.). For the most part I didn't touch those paramaters in multiplayer difficulty because I had no expirience with it. The game will certainly be far more challenging nonetheless considering all other balances included.
If I may plea you: would you be bothered if we try a multiplayer game together, so that I can see what needs to be done? I can do it somewhere middle next week, or whenever it suits you.
As for the crash, I will check it out in the next few days and let you know. If it has something to do with respawn I'll have to consult with someone who is more acquinted with the issue.

well lets see, the installs have DDFix running at 1024x768 on a no-cd patched exe that also has the multithread fix for 1 cpu and uniprocessor only with imagecfg, and the only other mod installed is SHTUP, when your mod is not ran it doesn't crash online, and yes we're running hamachi, firewalls off etc.. etc..
I pretty much have every fix known to man installed on SS2 >_>
the only real difference would be the bind/audio settings between the 2 computers, everything else is the same.
It could be the exe that's the problem, even though every other mod i've tried works, including one that didn't work before due to subtle differences in the installs between computers. No idea, but I can start a game later, around 3-4 pm PST.
I have aim/msn/yahoo just tell me wich one to PM you for ease of use.

If it crashes just before the spawn choice I presume it's some .mis problem. Does it perhaps crash after you choose spawn, or immidiately when the level is loaded? Have you perhaps ever tried playing Miracle.freak's UARMM mod in multi? Since my medsci mis is built from his and all of the changes I made are unlikely to be a cause of the issue.
