Heh.. so I was running about in crappy imperial steel/silver armor, for the most part, for almost the entire game up to level 14 or so... and I was getting a little annoyed at finding orcish armor all over the place, because I'm a heavy armor aficionado... Daedric shrines did nothing for me, on the whole, but all of a sudden...
There's a guy in the sunken vaults of the daedric shrine at Ald Velothi who's wearing a near-complete suit of ebony armor (minus shield and helmet) and carrying a daedric war axe... There's an enchanted ebony shield on sale in Wolverine Hall's mage guild, although that may be random... so now all I need is a helmet and I'm set!

Heh, I have a full suit of ebony and a daedric dai-katana in the chest in the room of my fortress from when I killed my House's former leader in the Arena, hehe too bad I can't use any of it...never gonna find a merchant who could buy that katana...thing's worth 120k =O

hah good luck finding a merchant who can buy it lol. The highest i've ever seen is 5k... heh, but if you do find a guy who can buy it, lemme know lol.

Heard of a talking mudcrab with 10k....only heard though...never seen him before...heard he's around Vivec....I haven't really been looking for him anyways...I have about 300k worth of stuff in my bedroom and don't think I'll be getting rid of much of it. Man...that'd be a thief's dream wouldn't it =P

i hate to tempt you like this.. but if it's an ebony helmet you're looking for...
I found one. Not sure if it's there EVERY time, but I might as well let you know
*hint*
Collecting flowers
*More than a hint...(where to get it)*
a monster, Hunger, is wearing in a burial tomb near the fields of Kummu (Where the Khajjit mage chick sent you to pick flowers). I THINK north of the guy that needs you to find his friend.
lemme know if it's there. I haven't got to test it multiple times.

Sure you can! I have around 200,000 Gold from the stuff I was selling. Hell, I sold about ten ebony maces at once. The secret is to find Creeper. He's the merchant in the orc household in Caldera, by the Smith.
First off, start selling him some minor items that total around to 5000 GP. Do this several times, remember to recharge day after day to get his gold pieces store back. Then sell him your heavily expensive items, while in the process, buying back the ones you sold him before. Eventually, you should get to sell him 5000 GP's worth of all your big items, yet you will have all your tiny items back. Then you can resell them. :D

i did that for a bit, but after a while it just got annoying heh. I got up to about 45,000. But the trick is to have an item worth 5,000, 10,000, 15,000. Right on the 5000 mark makes it easy to do the math =)
Xaosin on 22/5/2002 at 01:48
I still been doing the trick LOL I know it is real tedious but that's the only way hehe. I don't actually consider it a cheat either. I think that's the honest way to actually sell off these items. Otherwise, they wouldn't have put a value on them.
Cerus on 22/5/2002 at 02:36
Heh, little tedious for my taste, i might try that if i get hard pressed for money, managed to pile up 30k in gold so far. I don't think I'd have the patience to build him up to buy that dai-katana though...120k is alot , it makes up probably half of all of my items in there =P

If you download and use the Rich NPC plug-in why even bother? All the NPCs have 8K-20K gold on them. Creeper still has 5K with the plug-in which is odd and he's the only one that gives you 98% cost of the item. Still you could do the same concept of buying back small items with someone with 20K gold. It would take less time.
