There's a Trapdoor boardgame?! Now I know that my life will not be complete until I find a copy! I love having a quest.... :D

Don't open that TRAP DOOORRRR.........you're a fool if you dare!
Don't open that TRAP DOOOOOOORRRRRR......'cause theres something down there.
Cool :)
Also, Knightmare was the best ever. I miss it! And Fraggle Rock? Great theme tune. Unfortunately, I learned an extremely rude version at school, the lyrics to which have overlaid the original in my memory :erg:
I have a theory based on dozens of observations, that if you spend enough time chatting with a group of people, then at some point you will begin a nostalgic, fun-filled discussion of all the TV you used to watch when you were a kiddy :)
So, check out (
www.tv.cream.org)- a great page. Lots of things to see and do.

Yup - I know of someone who got to be on Knightmare AND be the one wearing the helmet.. I think that would have been a dream as a kid!
Dare I ask about the "alternative" Fraggle theme... then again it's probably unprintable and would scar my memories of the Fraggle gang for ever?! Dear sweet innocent Red, Mokey, Gobo and the doozers..well, ok, I have my doubts about Red, am sure she was a one :p and those doozers were known to have some wild parties..
I think you're spot on with your theory - it's always fab to have a quick regress back to the saturday mornings of yore.. Is a shame to think that there's going to be people reading these posts who haven't got the foggiest clue what on earth we're talking about!
Hmm... How's about a trapdoor mod for Morrowind! With quests from Berk for 'Im upstairs?! :cheeky:

Um, I remember the Poka-dot Door and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Does that count?

-Down at Fraggle Rock
Grab a Fraggle by his (rhymes with rock)
Swing him in the air
By his pubic hair!
Throw him on the floor,
Trap his b*ll*cks in the door!
Kick him in the head,
'Till the f**ker's dead!
Did I mention it was violent as well?

80's nostalgia is big business at the moment-check out the number of recent re-releases of classic kids TV, the merchandise in shops, the websites......we used to have kids tv nights when I was a student. Incredible fun. Do you remember that Kia Ora cinema advert (It's too orangey for crows!) ? Pound Puppies? Dastardly and Muttley?
Mysterious Cities of Gold? Aaaaaaaaah.

No it does not, you young whippersnapper :)
Xenomorph on 4/3/2003 at 21:21
I remember Pound Puppies. Never did like it, though. I was too highper-active at the time.
Lacerta on 5/3/2003 at 22:15
Oh Jordana - those poor poor Fraggles!
and don't talk to me about the Cities of Gold - I watched every single one but had to miss the last episode for some reason I can no longer remember  I still don't know what happened and think I've been scarred for life!
Weren't you scared by that Kia Ora advert? I tell you - I've never looked at a crow the same way since!
And did they ever catch that pigeon?

Ten years ago I used to live in a valley about 6 miles from where I live now. Across the valley from where I lived then was a house that in the 70's the man who made the clangers, Ivor the Engine, Bagpuss and others used to live though because it was 20 years before I lived there I never met him.
I didn't find this out till last year when someone I worked with gave me his biography. Came as a bit of a shock.
Lacerta on 5/3/2003 at 22:23
A true hero indeed! The man responsible for a soft cat and engine that went psssht-t-cuff... Good wholesome childhood entertainment (although Professor Yaffle was a bit disturbing - and those mice with their chanting...)(Think i must have been disturbed by a lot of the shows I watched!) Wasn't he behind Button Moon as well?
