How do you do this quest (as a male) without murdering Fasutina. I'm down with toasting her, but my character is the Champion of Cyrodiil and a Kight-Errant of the Order of the White Stallion (dammit), and i don't want the murder in my stats.

It wont count as murder, it will be self defense if you let the quest play out naturally. You know, the "Take off all of your clothes" bit.

See the problem with this quest is that Faustina doesn't attack you. The game seems to decide where your impulsive wrath is directed. So what happens is: You go to that barn, Faustina is there. You refuse to cooperate, so the Nord lady and the cat lady come out and attack you. Now after you kill them, Faustina just stands there. If you kill her, which you have to do to finish the quest, it counts as murder. Stuuuupid! I'd have killed her first. But I don't even care no more cause I recently joined the DB, and the game doesnt record your murders accurately anyways...

Really? I'm pretty sure she attacked me. Maybe her script just broke?

Yeah that's a bug I've never encountered. They should all attack, every time. I've tried charming them, bribing them ETC. and could not stop the event from unfolding as expected.

I have also heard of a magic item or artifact of some kind that makes a clone of any NPC which attacks the person, and if such a clone were to kill that person it doesn't count as murder.
I don't care anymore though. My character is quite a serial killer now. Nice guys finish last I guess... I've got a shelf at Rosethorn Hall which contains an item from every person I kill, DB quest or not. I was just bored one day and I decided to kill Tamika and pose her corpse, then I killed the one guard who responded and only got 5 bounty for it all, so I figured, why not? I saved all of Tamriel, they can give me a few back.
