looking at an alienware x51, as my old workhorse wont work much any more. Does anyone know- will it play all the thief series? Any problems with the old games, 1 and 2, or the 3rd one that needed pixel shading? Do you think it'll have the stomach to play the 4th, if ever released?
I am not familiar with computers much beyond the on and off button, and the mouse, so really dont know the right questions to ask to figure this out for myself. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Just their basic- windows 7 home premium
2nd generation intel core i3 2120 (3m cache 3.3 ghz)
6 GB dual channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333 MHz
1tb SATA 3gb/sec (7200 rpm) 32 mb cache
1 gb GDDR5 nvidia GeForce GT 640
To tell the truth, all thus means nothing to me, I don't speak tech

This is actually quite a good mid/high level spec. And is answer to your question it will play thief1/2/3 without breaking a sweat what so ever, also its actually more than powerful enough to play the largest Darkmod missions with ease.
