Here's the deal: I can't find that ashlander trader anywhere in Ald-ruhn. In the Inn the woman said that he has a room here but it's empty (only books there).

So where is he?

He's not in the Rat in the Pot, he's in the other inn in Ald'Ruhn, near the big Corner Club. He's in one of two places. Go upstairs to the bar, then look at the right side of that level. There's a set of stairs that go down to a little area under the bar. If he's not there, he's downstairs.
