How and where would you implement the killphrase for her anyway?
wsthune on 6/3/2001 at 23:07
You can use her kill phrase when escaping from UNATCO HQ.

Its automatically used when you initiate conversation.

Also, when I went back to Paul's apartment, I stayed and fought the MiB's rather than escaping out the window. We had held them off, but then Paul went running off to the lobby, and a firefight with about twenty UNATCO agents ensued. I also tried escaping and made it to the subway station, only to get apprehended by Gunther. Has anyone found a way to progress the story from Paul's apartment that doesn't end up with you in the MJ12 holding cell?
You gotta LOVE the options this game gives you!

As kinda an addendum to this question... the closest I got to fully escaping was with some camo armor, but I had a very low skill and I only got a few feet before they found me and flamed me. I did notice that most of the exits are blocked by ed-209s but there seems to be one exit that is blocked only by a concrete divider & a smaller bot. Just curious - what is the furthest anyone has gotten at this point? I'm assuming that if you got any further something else is blocking the way.

I haven't read all of the replies, but I'm pretty sure I know all of the possibilities of this.
FIRST, you can be a good little boy and kill Lebedev. You will have to kill Anna later.
SECOND, you can kill Anna and save Lebedev. Don't leave the room after she arrives. Whip out a sniper rifle and she'll never know what hit her. Or you can pump a round of 7.67 ammo or whatever it's called into her skull.
THIRD, you can kill both.
FOURTH, you can interrogate Juan Lebedev. Manderley will chew you out later. Anna will kill Lebedev before he has a chance to tell you what he would tell you if you kill Anna first.
FIFTH, you can just leave and let Anna take care of Lebedev.
If Anna dies, Alex covers up for you. I THINK (not sure) Lebedev dies no matter what. Either Anna kills him, you kill him, or Gunther takes care of him after you leave LaGuardia.
Also, there is no way to avoid/skip the MJ12 facility part. Gunther ALWAYS captures you. If you don't surrender, you'll eventually be "killed" and then wake up in the MJ12 facility.
I turned on god mode and blew up all the bots and killed all the UNATCO troopers. Gunther, however, is invincible. I also don't think there's any way to get out of the immediate area.

If Paul dies, Gary Savage contacts you in that holo-thingy instead of Paul. You still talk about the options and stuff, just with another person.

To save Paul, you simply have to exit through the DOOR of the 'Ton hotel instead of the window.
When you meet him in the MJ12 facility, he says he'll slip out on his own. Daedelus still downloads the datavault from Paul's systems.
Later on in the game, Paul shows up in Hong Kong. Tracer Tong deactivates his killswitch, and Paul takes a break for the rest of the game.

I tried that too. It counts the same as killing him, unfortunately.

Really? Wow. I let Paul die only one of the times I played DX. I thought it was always Savage.

Yeah, as far as knocking people out counting as killing them...after the beginning of the game made such a big deal about whether or not JC actually kills people, I was a bit disappointed when zapping Sandra's pimp or JoJo still resulted in conversations about how they're now dead. If I play for no civillian casualties as the game has pressured me into doing, I'd like it to acknowledge it...
