Hello fellow PhysX users....I wonder if there are any out there with actual Ageia cards like me....
Anyway I have found that the last 2 releases of the physx drivers do not work on my computer. They install fine but they just don't work with games. I have no idea why but the last release that worked is the 8.09 drivers. The next two are giving me problems. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that they made some changes to the Ageia portion of the driver set. There was some mention of having to have old drivers on the machine in order to install the new ones.....frankly I found it didn't matter. The new ones simply don't work. Anyone having this problem?

I might be missing something. The link seems to dump me back on nvidia's driver page for the 9.09 drivers, which are what's causing the problem. It might also be noteworthy that I have a radeon hd2900 + ageia card rather than a geforce card or sli setup. I don't get crashes either....it's just that applications fail to recognise the presence of the card with the new drivers...when I roll back to 8.09, all is well again....but i want to take advantage of the latest runtime.

Grab the latest leaked Nvidia beta driver (look on Laptop2go and the Guru3d forums), unzip the EXE archive with the likes of 7zip or WinRAR and finally install the supplied PhysX driver.
P.S. It's been confirmed that Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason supports GPU PhysX only.

It's no use...I did what you told me and managed to find a version 8.11 burried in a beta driver...that installed fine and just like the others, failed to detect the card/work....and yet the physx 8.09 release works without fail every time when I go back to it....WTF?!

Anyway, I can confirm that v9.09 at least works with GPUs. GR:AW2's "PhysX Extreme" setting runs fairly well on my PC (9800GT 512MB) with Forceware v181.22 beta + PhysX v9.09.

Thanks for the support anyway. Maybe they don't give a shit about Ageia owners anymore...Nvidia for you:nono:

Hmm that driver should work with that Ageia card:-

Runtime upgrade ONLY for AGEIA PhysX processors users. (New installations should install older PhysX system software such as version 8.09.04 - prior to installing this update).
So you as you already have the 8.09.04 driver -(
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_8.09.04_whql.html) link, install that then install the update below...

I'll try again but I did see that detail in the release notes and had 8.09 installed when I loaded the 9.09 drivers.....then when it failed after 2 attempts that way I tried uninstalling everything first and that didn't work either...maybe if I reboot it will help...will report back after i've screwd around a bit more
