Heh... It's pretty hard not to have low expectations when damn near every game is hyped to be the greatest thing ever, and everybody know Hype and Quality are usually inversely proportional...

Another grumpy old fart (me!) who is sad to see the XBoxisation of my favorite game of all time. Why doesn't Ionstorm just let the Japanese design all the character models in that console model form: all cutesy, with those big ol eyes and stuff. Just put us out of our misery quickly.
Here you go, Ion. Like this. Just do it. Let there be no ambiguity that this is meant to be a console game.

LOL. I think you're onto something - I think they were definitely influenced by anime - probably that's what the new generation of graphic artists learn about...
