I've gone to three statues that can be "activated" as in they actually show up when I hilight them w/ the cursor, but I still cannot activate. perhaps I'm missing something important, do I need to read some book, be somewhere in the main quest, become the neverar <sp?>, something, if anyone knows anything I would enjoy the help :( thanks

"Talk" to them like you would any NPC. I have no idea what default is, because of the ridiculous remapping I did, but whatever you use to Talk to NPCs.

When you hover over some statues their name will appear. This DOESN'T mean you will get a quest from them, only a few statues have quests, you will just have to keep talking to different statues until you find the ones that do.
