After playing BioShock... - by ant

... I really want to see System Shock 3 with this engine. :( BioShock is nice, but it isn't the same without SHODAN! :(
Did anyone feel the same way?

Despite the fact that I haven't played Bioshock yet, (it's released in Australia on the 24th... ) I still have to say that a sequel to Sshock 2 with the Bioshock engine would be excellent. Or even a Sshock 2 total conversion to the new engine, but that would be a mammoth job, I'm sure.

Please try no to talk too much about Bioshock in here. I don't want anything to ruin my experience. I've been carefully avoiding the Bioshock forums for the last months, because I really don't want to know anything about the game itself before I actually play it. I've pre-ordered the game from Amazon a few months ago. Now the wait is finally coming to an end :)

What you don't want to know that its about :-
a guy that gets stranded on an instersteller space ship on its first mission. Someone puts him into cryo suspension and gives him bioshock implants that lets him upgrade. Of course the ships fill of water for some reason and your hounded by an AI called big momma who sending small brothers out to kill you..... and .... and .... you end up in the body of the average cousin....

Bioshock and System Shock are two completely different games. SS3 is probably in development anyway, we'll wait and see.

In some ways yes, in some ways no.

You mean that story about the Godfather dev team making SS3 is real?
catbarf on 21/8/2007 at 17:08
No, actually- I read what I'm pretty sure was an official article saying the EA Sports team is doing it.
Bjossi on 21/8/2007 at 17:30
I find that unlikely, even for an EA strategy. I'd rather go with the Godfather team.

I dunno, it kinda makes sense, what with the basketball and all... :p
