If you've ever looked at a spider straight in the eyes, there's always a spark of evil, sadistic intelligence in them. Almost like it's waiting for you to fall asleep and then poison you just for fun. I've always wondered whether insects and spiders have contests to see who can freak out humans the most.
One time I was at a tennis court, and this evil demented bee decided, just for fun, to fly straight into my face, then start buzzing and flapping and flying around my head just to watch me scream and run across the court in response. The weird thing is, that kept happening for the whole 30 minutes I was there, like the bees were having a "freak out the human" competition.

Scuse my cynicism but that thing about spiders crawling in and out of your mouth sounds like an urban legend along the lines of the average person accidently consuming 2 spiders per year in their sleep.

You may be right, it does sound unlikely. But I did see the programme myself, i. e. I'm not repeating something third hand, and it was a serious programme about sleep. Maybe they threw it in as a joke, but it sounded as serious as the rest of the material. Still, who knows.

I go out at night wearing leather boots and I stomp on all the spiders I can possibly find.

MHK: you're talking about most of North America only. Many people live elsewhere.

Thanks Kalied, you have shown me just how evil and a brilliantly evolved a spider is. Not disgusting actually IMO but more sinister and knowing and built like a panzer with ...legs and being hairy and big "continuously prowling" like a wolf. I'm not prepared to find one those..and even more disturbing is that they have an actual head on their "shoulders".Brutal, but not creepy enough as they have "Two very large forward-looking eyes in the middle of their FACE! Just tell me that doesn't look like a little evil simian face. I do not want to be face to face (ha) and to look into its cunning, evil eyes as they stare back your wondering what unspeakable thoughts it thinks of...Thats a good site Kaleid but im too scared to look and see whereabout the brutes are ...surely not on the west coast of Canada....right?

lol
so many people who afraid things alot smaller than them:)
in all situations with a spider a HUMAN is a predator, cause his bigger, faster and more smart.
if you dont violate spiders territory(2 his sisez around him) he cant even bite you.
spiders dont jump, spiders dont spit.
and if spider crawls in your mouth youll FEEL it. and wake up.
fascist-
parasitic worms are really a problem.
most of them eat not your food, but you:)
they live everywhere,so you must cook well your meat before consuming.
and theres a lot of troubles to make them out.
and they use you as toilet too:)
