That can't be correct, they missed out "Who are you going to call?" and even "You see, we and the lord have an understanding" "We're on a mission from God" (possibly a miss-quote)
And then there is "because it is dull you twit. It will hurt more" - and I may have mis-quoted that too - making it twice in as many moths, will I never learn.

"Hey, Peter, man. Watch out for your corn-hole."
"We can't stop here. This is bat country!"

Well David Mamet could pretty much have his own top 100.
The Graduate? One word..... are you listening?.........Pastics!!! Think about it......will you think about it?...Shhh..... nuff said....
you probably have to be there to appreciate it and see the look on Hoffman's face when he gets cornered by this madman at his own party, but it's my favorite scene from one of my favorite films. Being 16 when i saw it definately helped.

Good one for Glengarry Glen Ross, quinch. That was a great movie. You could quote Alec Baldwin's entire script for his part, it's all gold.
Blake:
You see this watch? You see this watch? (even the way he says this is gold)
Dave Moss:
Yeah. Blake:
That watch costs more than you car. I made $970,000 last year. How much you make? You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy? I don't give a shit. Good father? Fuck you! Go home and play with your kids. And where is any top 100 without...
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.or
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you.and of course
No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. Poor bastard will see them soon enough. RBJ: I hated the Graduate when I saw it for the first time last year. I'd like to think it was a generational thing, but I think it's one of these movies that defines an American way of life that I think is largely bullshit.
As much as I love fear and loathing, its such a cult film that I wouldn't expect to see it on a list like this anytime soon. Plus Depp's monologue about seeing where the wave stopped <3

Yeah, the 60's watermark speech is quite a touching one. I wasn't honestly expecting to get on the AFI list, they're far too stuffy for that but I'm just sayin' that no top 100 is complete without at least one of them.

No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. Poor bastard will see them soon enough. how can you possibly quote that without this:
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole multi colored collection of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
Scots Taffer on 22/9/2006 at 01:13
Because it's too goddamned long, that's why! :D
I actually prefer the description of the ether trip but I can't find it.

The Big Kahuna has great lines all throughout the film (which is totally underrated, and shows brilliant performances by Kevin Spacey and Danny DeVito - especially DeVito playing against type).
(Larry Mann) "Well, I'll be a son of a bitch! I don't smoke, you quit drinking, Bob here wouldn't even dream of looking at another woman with lust... between the three of us, we're practically Jesus. "
(Bob Walker) "Throw me in the water and see if I can swim.
(Larry Mann) "I think you're missing the point here Bob. We're about to throw you off a cliff and see if you can fly."
