So another advice needed from Bikerdude.
I'm planing on buying a new computer and this is what I was recommended:
Quote:
Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H,AMD 785G+SB710, S. AM3, 6xSerial ATA II
Procesor AMD Athlon II X2 240, socket AM3, BOX , 2MB cache, 65W
DDR3 2048Mb ( 2Gb ) Kingmax, 1600MHz, CL9, FLGE85F-B8MF7
XFX HD4670 1GB DDR2 750MHz, Dual DVI, HDTV out, HDCP ready
HDD WD 500Gb, 5000AAKS, SATA II, Buffer 16Mb, 7.200 rpm , 8,9 ms
DVD RW LG GH22NS, DVD±RW, 22x DVD±R ,8x DL , 40x CD-R
Napajanje CORSAIR 400W, CX Series CMPSU-400CXEU, 12cm vent.
PowerTrain PWT-Q615B, ATX Kučište, Podržava: Micro ATX/ATX/P4
I was already told that I could get a better graphic card
HD 4770, but since my budget is pretty tight (and low as you can see) I'm not sure if I should get it.
I'm not a gamer that needs to run all the newest games on high details (hell I can't even afford them), I'm happy playing Thief and SS2, but I'd like to be able to play Bioshock or Risen, even at low details.
So is this good?

Just looking at the spec above there are a couple of things that spring to mind.
* DDR3 is more expensive than DDR2 and for the sort of games you are gonna play its not worth it.
* Also as it so cheap now, you have no reason not to buy at least 4GB of ram.
* And the PSU could possibly do with being more powerful.
Tell which website you got all the above from and I will try and come up with a better spec for less money etc.

The thing is that those webpages are in my native language, Croatian. I don't know if you'll be able to understand that.
This is the page I got that from, the store isn't located in my town, but they will ship without charge:
(
http://www.adm.hr/)
This shop is situated in my town, but they don't have that much selection, for example all moterboards are ASUS, I don't know if that's any good:
(
http://www.linea-nera.hr/shop/)
The prices are listed in my country's currency, I can spend about 2,700-2,800 Kn.
I need casing (the box), motherboard, CPU, graphic card, RAM, HDD and PSU.
And I was told that this PSU is actually more powerful than I need and that I could even buy something less powerfull like Fortron PNF 400W or Gigabyte superb 460W.

OK, thanks. I've been looking over the prices and it seems that the first webpage is cheaper.
EDIT: Also about memory, I was thinking about buying only 2 GB right now then upgrading it in a month or two, since it's easy to upgrade it..
Also you said the it's not worth to buy DDR3 RAM, but on that page prices are like this:
DDR3 2048Mb ( 2Gb ) Kingmax, 1600MHz, CL9, FLGE85F-B8MF7 - 375,00 KN
DDR2 2048MB ( 2GB ) PC8500 Kingmax , 1066MHz, KLEE88F-B8KO6 - 380,00 KN
DDR2 2048MB ( 2GB ) PC6400 Kingmax, 800MHz, CL5, KLDE88F-B8KB5 - 330,00 KN

The motherboard you mentioned is compatible with DDR3 memory, so just stick with DDR3. This setup is more than adequate to play most games. Should play even things like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It won't be at high settings, but you can play it decent. I have a similar setup, but I've got AMD Phenom II X4 810. Just a better chip for things like video encoding. For games, dual core is great. If this system is the one you're planning to get for your budget, it's great.

As I already said, I'm not much of a gamer since most games don't interest me, only new game I'm interested in is Risen, other than that I'll probably check out Bioshock and maybe Fallout 3. And that's it for games released in last 3-4 years.

For example I bought 4GB kingston DDR2-1066 about 3 months ago for £38 (308.37kn)
I take that back, I just checked and the same kit costs £80 bloody quid now, I should have bought 2x of them when i had the chance..

I'm running an almost identical rig as these parts, except I have a quad core 810 processor. I'm running dual boot Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows Vista Ultimate. I am playing pretty much every new game that's come out with an nVidia 9500 GT. Decent framerates on most games with medium settings. Wolfenstein was a bit harsh on my rig when I put maximum settings. LOL!
Your shopping list is fine dude. You can always add a nicer video card later if you desire. And DDR3 RAM too.

Well trying to read Croatian is hard work. So far I have descovered that everything is double what it costs in the rest of europe... are there any other internet based sites you can buy stuff from as those two you have me dont have much choice. For example I bought 4GB kingston DDR2-1066 about 3 months ago for £38 (308.37kn), it dosent help that the only 4Gb kits are Corsair(not exactly cheap memory to begin with)
The list you have is pretty much spot on if you only have those 2 websites to choose from..
Sadly, that's the way things here are. The prices are the same (or even higher) as in western Europe (sadly the paycheck's aren't).
There are other shops, but the prices are higher, and lots of people (including me) had bad experiences with them.
That configuration was suggested to me by a guy who knows his way around these things and he says that adm.hr is the cheapest shop in the country. Plus they will ship without charge.
So it OK if I buy that? And add another 2GB of RAM in a month or two.
