::CASTS RAISE DEAD TOPIC:: MUWHAHAHAHA! :ebil::ebil::ebil:
I think that for my next Arx attempt I'll play a Fighter again, with the Close Combat/Defense first and Mechanics/Object Knowledge second; Alot of Strength and Dexterity and (relatively) little Mental power.

Um, don't know if anyone's still interested in this, but you can...
...beat Akbaa stealthily with nothing but arrows (I used poisoned ones) from a normal bow. That stealth skill helps all the way up to 100, as it all adds backstab bonus (maybe even beyond 100). You need a lot of patience, and the ability to cast Invisibility for just a few seconds helps (cast it right at the beginning of the fight, and whenever you need to run from one shadowed side of the arena to the other). If you get it right, Akbaa never sees you, and never summons a demon - you'll win without taking a scratch. Akbaa's AI "cheats" - if you shoot him, and he starts to move toward the source of the shot, then you shoot him again (even in the back), he will know where you are - you need to stay hidden and wait til he stops moving before each shot. It takes a long time, but it allows you to find a good position for your next shot (try for a backstab every time) and the poison will still be eating away at him.
And, weirdly, you don't need either meteor weapon to start the fight, never mind finish it... iirc, you still need to make one to progress the plot, but smacking Akbaa repeatedly with any old crap, or just waiting a long time, will initiate the battle.
Heres a good tip to beating akbaa....it will take a few trys to get it right, but its cool because you will take no damage.
Climb or walk up one of the slanted arches to just above his height and levitate out over him. Then use your weapon of choice to whack him to death. I used the meteor sword. He never really hurts you if its done right.
