Advancement in Fighters Guild problem...

Ok, so i decided to advance some more into the fighters guild, and this is the fourth or fifth mission i get from Eydis Fire-Eye in Balmora. She sends me to get some debt money (200 drakes) from one Helvine Desele who happens to have a bar in Suran.

Now, she won't give me the money and i can't return to Fire-Eye and pay myself. I don't want to kill her, but it seems to be the only choice. Is this a bug or is there really no other way to complete this quest ? Is Helvine Desele related to other important quests ? (I haven't completed Suran yet...) -- she's in the bar with naked dancer girls.

Please help me. :eww:

Chances are good that if you presuade her to... oh I don't know around 70 disp she'll coff up the cash.

I don't know... i think i tried that, i brought it to 100 %, i have good speechcraft skills, but i admired it. Maybe i sould have intimidated ? Would that be a difference ? Or maybe bribe ? ....

Yeah, try everything to see what will work, just do a quick save before you try anything.

i remember this quest...

this was right at the beginning when i had no damn clue..
i talked to her..she wouldn't cough up... so i killed her...

i was really really low level and she even boxed me to the ground..
once or twice...

on hindsight talkin would have been much better...

yeah...i think i picked her pocket and stole the money....but for some reason i don't think fire eyes accepted it...not sure thoguh, you can check.

Just in case this is still an issue, she should give it up if she likes you at 75% (no matter how you got her there). You can just kill her though. Or, you can talk to Percius Mercius (Ald'Ruhn Fighters' Guild) and he'll suggest you pay it. Either way, Eydis will accept the mission as over.

I would never take money out of my pocket to benefit someone I didn't know! I think you should just kill her and get it over with. OR you could go and get the charm humaniod spell from Marayon Dren in the Balmora Mages guild.
