adding HDR in Thief 1/2 *thief and enb series with ddfix* -use this thread - by KoHaN69

I wonder if there is a possibility of getting an official version for thief, instead of using a deus ex version. Anyone for emailing this boris guy? If not, I suppose I could whip something up.
Sounds like a ddfix problem Mr. Nightfall (I hope you don't mind me saying that...) - I'm pretty sure that happened to me before in past experience with older ddfix.
Hey kohan, may I make a suggestion? Could you perhaps add to your first post a step by step guide, or at least link to where there are guides? There's one from me and one from wille(his in that ddfix thread you originally posted in...) as well as some others in the sister thread to this in thiefgen.
Actually I just noticed that boris kind of addresses the how to, but it's not so nice as the how-to any of us have made. :p (

Answer from Boris:
У меня есть для этого специально Thief 2 с dx9 рендером, но пока занят версией для GTA San Andreas.
Wait ;)

Question: I see yoiu made a version for Deus Ex. What about special Version just for Thief?
Boris replies:
I do have a version specially for Thief 2 :wot:
with DirectX9 renderer :wot: , but for now I am busy with GTA San Andreas.

I'm curious how long we are supposed to wait.... Not that I really care that much, but maybe others here do.;)

You know, I have HD4850, tried many different versions of ddfix, and I have no idea what performance problems some people are talking about. I know that's not very helpful, but there you go.
On another note, if you want bloom - which, once again, is not the same as HDR - that should be pretty simple to do within ddfix. If it's done in FakePrimarySurface::Flip right after checking for menu mode before blitting the overlay, then menu screens, books and texts would be non-bloomed. Which would be much better than a global bloom on everything, which is what I suppose an external utility does.
